a thought

with film you have a physical piece of evidence of an Image..the negative
with digital what piece of physical evidence do you have that isnt suseptable to modern changes? ie. software,hardware,ability to use a file of 10 year past..so is instant gratification worth the price of a Once-in-a-lifetime moment vanish in a cascade of 1s and 0s...? digital does have its usefulness but many I feel have lost site of what photographys other virtue,the ability to look in the past...
this may be a sky is fallen attitude but It is something to think about...

As I look at old photos of 50-100 yrs ago in a antique store for a brief moment I would like to think what it was like..then I ponder about the people in a photo
did they wonder themselves about this new tech and what will happen to this so called photograph? will my grand kids see it,would future generations see it?
learn from it,cry from it?,laugh at it? laugh with it?..

or would it end up nowhere?
something to think about..... Paul
