These sweet, simple pillowcase dresses will be perfect for your little princess to wear all summer (they are also great in winter with a turtleneck and tights). They are handmade in a smoke-free, pet-free home by a stay-at-home-mom who is looking for a little extra income.
The price of the dress is $40 and this includes the dress, a one or three initial monogram, matching panty covers, and matching hair bow (or headband for those big girls who are sadly outgrowing their bows). If you do not need a monogram, panty covers, or a bow, subtract $5 for each.
I have reinforced the ribbon with elastic so that you can tie the bows first and then just slip the dress over their head - no having to tie bows on your wiggly giggly girls! For the little girls (ages newborn-about age 3) I can permanently tie the bows so they can't pull on them and un-tie them. These bows are pinned to the dress, so you'd need to un-pin them before washing, but they'd still be tied, so it is pretty easy to just pin them back on after washing. There is no extra charge for this. Also, all ribbon ends are treated to prevent fraying.
Yes, I can make bloomers / panty covers to match the dresses! And they can be monogrammed with their full name for just $7 more!
For sizing, I can get a pretty accurate size based on the age of your child (as long as they are fairly average). The dresses usually fall right above the knee, but can be made longer or shorter if you'd like. You can measure your girl from shoulder to the desired length of the dress and I'll make the dress to those measurements.
You really get your money out of these dresses. I have three children of my own, so I know how frustrating it is to spend money on an outfit, only to have them wear it one season then have to put it in the "outgrown clothes" box. Your girl can really wear this dress all year! In cooler weather, put a coordinating turtleneck or long sleeved shirt and maybe some tights underneath. How many outfits can you do that with? Plus, they will be able to wear the dress for years with it getting a little shorter each year. When it finally is way too short for a dress, you can put some coordinating shorts or capris underneath. My oldest daughter (age 7) wears my youngest daughter's (age 18 mo) dress as a cute top with some capris or shorts. It looks adorable! (See the picture of the Auburn dress - it is the same dress on both girls!) Since I know you will get a lot of use out of these dresses (my girls wear them constantly) I take extra care to make sure every stitch and seam are finished and durable. I want this dress to look great on your girl today and for years to come.
The dress can be made in practically any color. The most popular color combinations are pictured above (and below in the slide show). Be sure to check out the new fall and Christmas dresses, as well as the new Alabama and Auburn dresses!
Thank you so much for allowing me to make this dress for you. It is one of my favorite dresses for my girls to wear and I’m sure it will be yours also.
God bless,
Rachelle Creel

My name is Rachelle Creel and I have been extremely happily married to Kevin Creel for the past 9 years. We have three beautiful children, (and one more on the way) - Kacie, our oldest daughter is 7, Tucker, our boy in the middle is 5, and our sweet baby girl, Karagan is 23 months old. Yes, my girls are my models. And even though my boy is pretty enough to be a girl, believe me, he is ALL BOY and so much fun!
Being a stay-at-home-mom is fairly new for me. I taught first grade at Robertsdale Elementary School for 7 years and after much prayer we decided it would be best for me to stay at home with the arrival of our third child. Since I had been teaching for the past 7+ years, we thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and homeschool our kids. That was a decision that I know would not fit everyone, but it has definitely been a wonderful blessing for our family and I truly am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach my children.
I began sewing on my grandmother's old sewing machine about 5 years ago when I needed to make some curtains for my classroom. I liked sewing, but the machine was so old it jammed everytime I tried to use it. When I began staying home, I had a little more time and this precious little girl to sew for, so I saved up my birthday money and purchased a newer machine. I don't think that machine has stopped running since! I really love sewing! One of the first things I made were pillowcase dresses for my girls. They wore them to a baby shower and everyone just loved them! One of the ladies at the shower asked if I'd make one for her granddaughter and mentioned that I should sell them on "Craigslist". So, I took her advice and God has truly blessed this little dress-making business. I've made over 100 dresses since then and continue to get new orders nearly every day.
I think of each customer as a friend, probably not a very professional, business-like thing to do, but I do it anyway. I am very thankful for all the ladies who have helped keep my busy! Thank you!
