1978 BMW R100/7 Restoration Project

Thanks for visiting! This website is my documentation of the teardown, repair, cleaning and re-assembly of VIN# 6147992, a classic motorcycle bought in San Juan Capistrano in June of 2010. Like many "rebuild" sites, this one is filled with hundreds of photos, some interesting, some mundane, but critical for me and possibly others, when the time comes to take the hundreds of parts scattered through the garage and put them back into a classic example of German Engineering. (I LOVE those Bavarians! So meticulous....name that tune!)

My first album at the bottom of the page is over 200 photos when I first started the dissasembly. The others are organized by date, so I know how to put her back together. Feel free to put in comments, ask questions, and visit www.BMWMOA.org in the airheads forum, and check out the threads regarding the restoration of these incredibly cool bikes! Cheers, Kmkahuna, San Diego CA

Looking Good! I have a 1971 Datsun 240Z and a 1976 Trans Am that I want to do this to. Keep the pictures coming. If you find anything in the Pensacola neck of the woods you need someone to take a look at let me know.
