WHY LEGO MAGNETS ARE GLUED
I was looking on http://thebrickblogger.com/ when I found this , the reason lego magnets are glued (As quoted from ADMIN): "It has to do with Star Wars licensing issues. HASBRO has the license for making Star Wars action figures and LEGO has the license for Star Wars sets. HASBRO has complained that by the SW magnets LEGO has crossed the line over to their territory of action figures. This has become an issue and could have ended in costly legal battles. LEGO’s response was to glue the magnets so they are no longer could be considered action figures, but more like memorabilia. Because they went in the glued direction for the SW magnets they decided to glue all magnets so there is a consistency accross the board. LEGO would have never gone this direction without these issues. It is not about making money, it is about the brutally competative nature of the toy-market."
MY ONLY RESPONSE TO THIS HAD TO DO WITH THE BIRTH OF A NEW FAKER...
At this time (beginning of 2011) , HASBRO was cooking up a new fake brand to be released sometime in 2011. HASBRO probably did their research to find some clues to LEGO's success. So , they desided to knock out one of LEGO's major money-makers , so that their new kreo sets would make more money. I know this sounds like I am going to far , but what other excuse does HASBRO (they don't even deserve all caps!) have? Those figures were nothing like action figures! Just pre-constructed LEGO! AND those hypocrites went and copied LEGO after they did this!!! I almost bought a hasbro (no caps!) Star Wars "fighter pod" for the Han in Carbonite , but now I will never buy from them!!!!
