The 6th Annual Happy Paws Dog Walk brought in around $7,400 for The Humane Society of Tuolumne County, and around $500 for 3 other organizations: Mounted Dream Center, Friends of Animal Control, and the Rose Wolf Wildlife Foundation. Sponsored by The Therapy Dogs of the Sierra, this event has been a consistantly successful fundraiser for the animals every year.

 

It did rain the day of the event, but that didnt stop the dog walkers who came dressed for rain. There were 2 routes to walk, both in the darling city of Downtown Tuolumne. Once the walkers were finished with the walk, they had a wide variety of activities to choose from. Doggy Games galore, an agility course, contests such as "Most Tale Wags", treats, food, shopping, information, "Dancing with Dogs", a Fly Ball Demo, Silent Auction, a Raffle...the list goes on.

 

This event truly is fun for the entire family, complete with childrens activities and games. The Music and John Bell, the MC are the icing on the cake. Thank you to ALL who participated and/or supported this event.
