WHAT IS THE MEANING OF EL 'QUINTO-SOL' / THE FIFTH SUN?
There have been a number of Suns of Solar Ages in the history of our planet that prophetic texts and indigenous traditions speak of in different ways. For the civilizations of the Ancient Americas, these solar ages are recorded in their Sun Calendar.
ACCORDING TO THE MAYA AND AZTEC CALENDARS...
We are presently living in the final stages of the Fifth Sun (El Quinto-Sol,) the Sun of Movement, NAHUI OLLIN. The mission of the Fifth Sun is to create movement in great waves of cleansing and change in order to make ready for The Six Sun (El Sexto Sol) by means of breaking up of old patterns and beliefs and attaining the understanding of our placement within the universe as fully actualized human beings.
In other words WHAT IS OCCURRING NOW IS OUR INDIVIDUAL PASSAGE THROUGH THE FINAL STAGES OF THE FIFTH SUN (EL QUINTO-SOL) INTO THE NEW LIGHT OF THE SIXTH SUN, the time of justice and of the emancipation of indigenous peoples.

We are dedicated to the elimination of poverty and the restoration of the damaged environment by educating our youth and young adults about developing the means of cooperative enterprise, environmentally sound agriculture, appropriate technology and conservation. We actively promote "community action" whereby parents, united with their children and with the community members-at-large working together to solve common problems and to reach common goal utilizing an intergenerational methodoloy of teaching.

We are committed to focusing our awareness and efforts back to the things that really matter and our connection to Mother Earth by teaching and inspiring each other to walk in balance, live in reverent intimacy with nature, and create a world that we can offer with love to our children, our children's children seven generations into the future.
