Our first two weeks at AQS has come and gone...

Dearest supporters, allies, friends and believers...

The first weeks of the North Bay Institute of Green Technology-Academia Quinto-Sol / Fifth Sun Academy for Young Visionaries (Recovery Act Project of California Human Development) has come and gone with much success and the results have been so much more rewarding than we ever imagined.

Our young men have adapted marvelously and have connected with the program and our daily tasks passionately and excelled in all their work as you can see by the pictures. Our students have completed (8) hours of the Quality Water Efficiency Landscaping (QWEL) Certificate with (12) hours left to completion. Additionally, the young men have also obtained the essential CAL OSHA10 Safety Certification with the coordinating efforts of the North Coast Builders Exchange (NCBE).

And last but not least our young men have also begun to learn about green building with cobb as they have learned how to make bricks from clay, sand, straw and water CLICK HERE to learn more about our instructor Miguel Elliott and the Mayan TEMAZCAL they are building.
