IMG_0001.JPG
Arriving at Gold Point. People milling about.

IMG_0002.JPG
A restored gallows and later was likely the best place to be for pictures.

IMG_0003.JPG
Random accessory that I thought looked cool

IMG_0004.JPG
I think the sign says it all.

IMG_0006.JPG
Just more ambient signage.

IMG_0011.JPG
Don't ask. I like weird junk sometimes.

IMG_0013.JPG
Arrival of the fun shirts and great outfits.

IMG_0015.JPG
Really great that so many people dressed up in period costumes.

IMG_0016.JPG
I thought it looked kinda cool.

IMG_0020.JPG
Loved this parasol. You'll see. There are more pictures of it.

IMG_0023.JPG
See I told you. More of the parasol.

IMG_0024.JPG
The flag ceremony begins. Several flags were unfurled.

IMG_0032.JPG
She is holding on to part of one of the flags.

IMG_0034.JPG
More of the flag ceremony. I love that you can see a piece of the flag. I had to hold my camera over my head for alot of these shots.

IMG_0035.JPG
One of my favorites of the flag ceremony. The people holding the flags then waved them up and down while we listened to patriotic music.

IMG_0036.JPG
Again, these are taken over my head without being able to see, but I kinda dig them.

IMG_0038.JPG
See I had to what they were doing... hold it up, try to aim and take the shot.

IMG_0039.JPG
Love all the patriotic colors...

IMG_0041.JPG
These shirts were so great.

IMG_0043.JPG
More flag ceremony.

IMG_0045.JPG
And more. People of all ages..

IMG_0047.JPG
I noticed this by accident. Those guys with the good view up in the gallows couldn't get this shot.. hahahahahaa...

IMG_0048.JPG
This is the folding of a flag that was being brought down so another of a fallen soldier could be raised. The older hands are of a Korean War vet. The younger hands are of a young woman that was helping him...

IMG_0049.JPG
This is the flag when it was finished being folded. The hands are of another war veteran from a more recent campaign, likely Afghanistan or Iraq (I didn't catch which war he fought in).

IMG_0051.JPG
We were listening to the Star Spangled Banner (Leann Rimes version) and when she hit and the rockets red glare part... I saw this plane go overhead and the flag started waving (it hadn't been). It just felt... patriotic.

IMG_0054.JPG
More of the people waving the flags... They lined the whole street, nearly a city block.

IMG_0055.JPG
More parasol. I do love purple.

IMG_0057.JPG
Two of the best dressed ladies at the whole event.

IMG_0059.JPG
More parasol and this awesome hat!

IMG_0060.JPG
There they are again.

IMG_0061.JPG
She had this beautiful feathery fan. I just loved it. And her purple lacy gloves.

IMG_0062.JPG
Lacy Fan.

IMG_0063.JPG
Watermelon eating contest for the kids...

IMG_0064.JPG
A couple of the kids were in period costume. This one reminded me of Little House on the Prairie - so cool!

IMG_0066.JPG
Random outhouse picture.

IMG_0069.JPG
I so want this old bike, but I think they would have noticed if it was missing.

IMG_0070.JPG
So great. Definitely would need a little work to ride it though.

IMG_0071.JPG
Old building from around the site.

IMG_0072.JPG
I know next to nothing about mining, so I am guessing this brought ore up? Or water or something.

IMG_0073.JPG
Old car. Good thing it wouldn't fit in the back of our truck. Dad might have brought it back with us. Just kidding!

IMG_0074.JPG
Old stuff. I really just like it.

IMG_0075.JPG
Outhouse.

IMG_0076.JPG
Don't look inside.

IMG_0078.JPG
More random old stuff.

IMG_0079.JPG
Street sign.

IMG_0080.JPG
Old building near where we parked.

IMG_0084.JPG
Closer shot. I love all the random stuff on the walls.

IMG_0086.JPG
What I think is a mostly restored if not fully restored building. The deck was new.

IMG_0087.JPG
Another of the newer looking buildings.

IMG_0088.JPG
Love the old firetruck.

IMG_0091.JPG
More old buildings.

IMG_0093.JPG
Love, love, love the look of this one. I want to paint it... if I can figure out how.

IMG_0094.JPG
See, I really liked it. There are lots of shots.

IMG_0098.JPG
Same building. I made dad drive reaaaaaaaally slow past it.

IMG_0099.JPG
Cool right?

IMG_0100.JPG
Yet another angle.

IMG_0102.JPG
This is part of the restored deck I mentioned earlier.

IMG_0104.JPG
Cool looking plateau on the way home.

IMG_0107.JPG
Joshua trees. They just look weird and kinda creepy with this many together.

IMG_0108.JPG
Clouds just looked cool.

IMG_0110.JPG
More cool clouds...

IMG_0112.JPG
Old high school in Goldfield, NV.

IMG_0114.JPG
More of the old high school in Goldfield, NV.

IMG_0115.JPG
And another shot. I told you I like old stuff.

IMG_0117.JPG
One more...

IMG_0119.JPG
Okay maybe two.

IMG_0121.JPG
Love it!

IMG_0122.JPG
Another bottle house. I think they are a requirement of an old town in Nevada.

IMG_0123.JPG
Love the architecture on this place.

IMG_0124.JPG
Cool right!?

IMG_0126.JPG
Can't remember why I took this one.

IMG_0128.JPG
That rock just looks awesome and I bet it's really cool in there in summer.

IMG_0130.JPG
More funky clouds.

IMG_0131.JPG
And more...

IMG_0132.JPG
Last one... Hope you enjoyed looking at my pictures.
