My name is Bradley Thomas and I've been researching my family for about eight years now. My mother's Phillips line is from Slate Springs, her grandfather James C. Phillips was born in Slate Springs in 1885, his mother, Missouri WEST died sometime around 1890 and his father William Henry PHILLIPS(b.1855 AL.) remarried and woman by the name of Sarah Davis (b.1855 MS.). Her parents are Samuel DAVIS and Jane VANCE (b. abt. 1826 AL).

Good morning!
My name is Jon Austin Vance and I just found the Vance Family Website and saw on the forum your posting for a reunion at the in Slate Springs MS. I am from Maben MS and both my grandparents, Virgil and Annie Mae Vance are buried in that cemetery. My great aunt and uncle, Sherman and Louise (Vance) Hamilton lived on the land of the Vance home place across the road from the cemetery and are buried there I believe.
I joined the military in 1985 and have only been back a handful of times since, the last was my grandmothers funeral. I would love to be invited to your website to learn more about my family and share insights.

I just got a nice fat package with all kinds of photos and family info from Mrs. Thelma Cox this morning! She was crowned Queen Vance for the day during the Reunion...remember? : ) I will be scanning a ton of her information with her permission and posting it for all of you to see the minute I have time to sit down and scan all of the pages. Todd Vance's stepdaugther has give birth to twin boys!!!!
Fallon Waldrop, Todd's stepdaugther has give birth to twin boys,Adian 2lbs.12oz;Blake 2lbs.14oz.They have a big sister Taylor 22 months old. Fallon went into labor 04/22/09 @28 weeks.The Boy's and Fallon are doing fine at this time.Adain and Blake are breathing on their own.When I get pictures I will post them.
