Fall Open House at East Tennessee State University is Saturday, October 29, 2011. Campus Tours are also given Monday-Friday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Students can schedule a tour at https://etsuis.etsu.edu/CampusTours/ . Tours should be scheduled at least one week in advance.
The Thomas Wolfe Scholarship is celebrating its tenth anniversary and beginning its eleventh year at UNC – Chapel Hill. This scholarship is for full undergraduate support for student writers and will receive applications beginning September 1, 2011; with the deadline for submissions being November 1, 2011 (submissions must be postmarked by that date). The Gallery Collection’s 5th Annual Create-A-Greeting-Card $10,000 Scholarship Contest has officially begun. They are offering students a chance to win $10,000 towards their education plus a $1000 award for their school. Entering the contest is easy. Students must submit a unique photo, piece of artwork, or computer graphic for the front of a greeting card. The student with the best design will win a $10,000 scholarship and have his/her design made into an actual card to be sold in their line. Entries accepted March 17, 2011 – January 14, 2012.
