After going 7th days without poop, i began to worry. This is her first after she had begin on solids. Before this when i fed her apples and cereal, everything was fine. But she stopped pooping when i started her on bananas. Took her to the doctor when on day 7th, i could see that she was straining to poop. They prescribed her with lactulose syrup which was of no help. She only pooped a little and after so much straining and crying. Poor baby!

 

Thereafter, 5 days again went by without any bowels movements. Again i took her to the doctor and again she was prescribed with lactulose syrup. At this time, i'm quite upset with the doctors. Why can't they give her something else to help her with the bowels??!!

 

I went home and bought her apple-prune juice and Gerber's prune. That night, she pooped! But she was in so much pain that I cried too!

 

I'm feeling guilty. Am i feeding her all wrong? :(

Yup, we went on a 6 days trip to Malacca and Airis went with no poop throughout the trip. I was worried and counting the days when we would be back in Singapore so that i could consult the local hospital there.

 

We reached Singapore on 28th Feb and it's already the 8th day.

 

Woke up early the next day. Checked phone consultation hours. Decided to call them. But before that, one last check to make sure Airis is still not pooping. And there..the poop! With the smell and everything..haha! I love you my dearly..:)

Bought Airis a hat over at ebay but it's too big for her head, haa! :)

 

 

 

How time flies and how the little grown so much - literally; she 7.2kg now! :)

 

Airis has quite hit the major milestones :

 

sitting unsupported (for a while only though)

roll over from back to front in both directions (she even rolled during her sleep, scary!)

lunges forward; wanting to crawl

 

Watching her grow up bring such bittersweet memories. Sweet - watching her taking every step, bitter - knowing one day she will grow up and i will lost the sweet, adorable baby i once had...

Airis isn't sleeping like a baby should - 2 to 3 naps a day. Even getting her to settle down for her nightime sleep is turning to a chore. I'm worried that it will deprived her of good sleep and rest.

 

But after massaging her Johnson's Baby Oil just before her daytime bath, she has been napping regularly now. Not as much as I want her to, but she takes 2 to 3 naps for at least an hour each.

 

She's much more easier to settle down for her nightime too even though she woke up  a few times for her milk.

 

Thanks to Johnson's Baby Oil, she sleeping like a baby..should :)

She's 5 months old today. Yay!

She pooped! Hee..finally! *relief* I even called up the KKH a while ago; just to ensure that nothing's wrong with her. Even google on the net.

 

She's fine really. It's just her trying to put on a little weight. And just making changes to her routine.

I was online, keeping my eyes on Airis at the same time when she flipped from back to front! Another milestones hit, lot more to go..

It's been 2 days and still no poop yet. Worry, worry. Hope there's nothing wrong with Airis.

 

 

It's her 'cukur rambut' (we shaved off her hair - symbolises to a new beginning). We dressed her in a nice, beautiful white dress. And boy, wasn't she a darling when she made no fuss throughout the ceremony.
