Breaking News

The "Spirit of the Voice" Beethoven 9th project that many of our singers were involved in last year, received the Townsville City Council's "Production of the Year" award at the Civic Theatre on Friday night, among 18 other nominees.

This award is shared between the three arts organisation that were involved. The Barrier Reef Orchestra, K.M.E.I.A and Allegretto Choirs. It is a real acknowledgement of the huge effort put in by all involved – organisers, instrumentalists, singers and our conductor David Lawrence.

We were thrilled to have the event acknowledged publicly, and now will head towards doing something exciting and challenging in 2013.

Allegretto Petites and Allegretto Voices have been invited to perform in the "Families Concert" for the Australian Festival of Chamber Music - August 4th.
