This is one huge hotel located in what is called City Center pretty much in the center of the Las Vegas Strip. It first opened in December of 2009. The casino alone is 150,000 square feet. It has 4,004 rooms and 61 floors. Fortunately, they have elevators that are specific to certain groups of floors and are very fast and quiet. The hotel is very modern inside and out.
We stayed in a deluxe room on the 23rd floor with a nice view. A deluxe room is the starting room category. Our room was very nice, modern and of normal size. It would rank in the top 2 or 3 standard rooms that we have seen in Las Vegas. Our room, and I think most rooms, featured floor to ceiling windows with motorized sheers and drapes. When you first walk into the rooms the lights automatically turn on and soft music starts playing on the TV. With a push of a button you can open or close your drapes and set various lighting and music "moods". We found the staff to be friendly and courteous including the casino staff. The only restaurants that we tried in the hotel were the Sports Book and The Buffet... a bit expensive but with a very large selection... and it was very good.
On the down side... for us the hotel was just too big. We were lost constantly. When you get off the elevators you are near the casino but when you look out there are no distinctive features to get your bearings. The signage is poor. What they need are diagrams showing "you are here" like on a cruise ship. When you finally did figure out which way to go it was a long walk.
This hotel is in a good location next to the Monte Carlo and the Bellagio but like most hotels it is set well back from the strip itself. If you don't mind a lot of walking this is a very nice hotel and we would recommend it.
