Artists' Market 2009/2010 season will begin on Saturday, October 24, 2009 and continue through Saturday, May 8, 2010. We will be located on the corners of Pineapple & Laurel Streets and Orange & Laurel Streets......hours of sales from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.

About us

I am pleased to announce that the Historic Burns Square Artists' Market will have opening day on Saturday, October 24, 2009 and run every Saturday through May 8, 2010. We are open to the public from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Vendors will begin setting up their areas at 8:30 am depending on how much time they need. If you need additional time please notify management. Break-down time begins at 5:00 pm.
 
This is official notification that the Historic Burns Square Artists' Market is seeking artists' of all mixed media; creative crafter's, etc. to become part of a growing art community in the Historic Burns Square District of Sarasota, FL. Poets, musicians, dancers, face painters, etc. .....all are welcome.
 
The Artists' Market is an outdoor venue and is located on the corners of Pineapple & Laurel Sts. in Dr. S. Sloan's parking lot and also on the corner of Orange & Laurel Sts. in Dr. R. Furman's parking lot (this lot is used on the BLACK TOP ONLY)!
 
If you have been a previous vendor at the Artists' Market please complete only the starred (*) items on the application. All new vendors must complete the entire application. COMMUNITY GROUPS please complete application as well. 
 
The Artists' Market rents SPACE ONLY, you are required to supply your own table/tent/chairs, etc.  Rental fees can be paid weekly or pre-paid monthly. All vendors that pre-pay monthly will be entitled to the monthly discount. There are no long term contracts. Spaces can be shared with another vendor (both must have an application on file). The fees listed below apply to "in season". Special events sponsored by the Historic Burns Square Merchants' Association may incur additional fees for which you will be notified in advance.
 
SPACE FEES  
10 x 10 ft space with or without a tent (max. size)     $30.00 - Weekly or $90.00 - Prepay monthly
All other sizes (under 10' x 10') 
$20.00 - Weekly or $65.00 - Prepay monthly
 
If you do not have a completed application on file and just show up and want a space, the fee will be $40 for the day.
 
Please note the following requirements and rules prior to completing an application;
There is no smoking in the selling area. All tables must be covered with a neat/clean looking fabric or cloth. No foul language will be permitted by any vendor to either a customer or another vendor. There will be no loud radio or music playing on the selling floor unless you are a musician performing. If you wish to attend or cannot attend on a particular Saturday you are required to contact management, at least one day in advance, so either a space can be held for you or your space can be given to another vendor. Management will do it's best to see that monthly vendors get their same space locations each week.
