Here are a few more.. I was surprised at how good these P&S images turned out, from my seat in the audience...

Especially when you consider that it was so dark that you could not see the performers a good part of the time.. I am not sure why they are trending this way.. as just a person in a seat, I found it frustrating.
I don't mind at all. It gives me an idea what izzy was saying. It would take out the most dramatic part of the picture. Thanks for the demonstration.

Very colourful, Much like in Newfoundland,
One time at my cottage I was upstairs sleeping, I heard the TV on, so I went down to turn it off, Thinking to myself, I thought I turned it off" well I walked in the room and here was a man slumped over on my sofa drinking a beer and eating a sandwich watching tv, Drunk as a skunk ,. I said what do you think your doing buddie?" he looked up,," Who are you what are doing here .?"
I said I live here.
he replied "so do I.. I said "OH no you don't .
He looked around the room, said 'OH be jeeeeus ' and some thing else sluring his words, Got up said sorry wrong house and went off through the door laughing. , But he turned around and said, Could I take the beer with me?
Ha He was a guest at my cousins house and was at a neighbour's party that night,
What a mess in my kitchen where he made a sandwich ,, Had a good laugh the next day .
,
That's what I was going to say!
I hope I get another oppurtunity to shoot a concert sometime, it sure is fun.
I've heard of crabapples, but I've never seen any. How big are they?
I hope you do manage to catch some birds in the tree.
I like the first one too.
I like the stone closeup, but, I don't like the blurred foreground item along the right edge of the photo.
Photomum, it never hurts to play with the cropping tool and see what you come up with. I used your photo for an example, hope you don't mind.

Ron
I like the one with the pond in the background. I also like the one with the purple x.
Photomum
Thanks Izzy. I'll try to get a shot that can fit.

This is my youngest son, Hunter's girlfriend Brooke.
She is saving for college, gonna graduate at semester, and can't afford Sr. Pics. So, I did them for her.
We had a good time. She is a very sweet girl. Keeps Hunter in check! LOL
Jax, you are so lucky! I don't know of anybody who has such nice looking crabs in their patch.
Ron
Wow, they look like pears with giant pits.
Ron
Ya still done good with what ya had, Bob.
Ron
Lol, I used to see colors like that BEFORE the first beer! Then everything started looking the same.
Good grief, Rene, don't you ever go anywhere boring?
Ron
Your spot is still looking good, Vivian. I am still waiting for the color to show up here but all we are getting is a bit of yellow that falls off quickly before a good strong covering is offered.
Ron
I'd sure hate to get in his way. He looks like he runs with a purpose. Great shots, Tony!
Ron
Well, heck, you already know what I am thinking, Rene lol. You always ignite a burning desire to visit the places you photograph.
Ron
Watching the baloons will never become boring. And usually opportunities to get nice shots like these.
Ron
A really good shot, Marlene. Nice how you got that dark tree trunk behind him to highlight his points.
Ron
I have to agree with Gail...........and everybody else on this!!!
Ron
Very interesting shot, Marlene. Obviously, this fella has been through a lot, whatever it was, but is still standing in there. I really like how you handled the background with the movement and multiple exposure of the foilage. It looks like the deer stood really still while you used a really slow shutter speed.
Ron
Big ears but gentle eyes. Lol, Photomom.
Ron
Christy, it is easy to see that you had a good time at the reenactment just by looking at all these nice photos. You did well on these. Next time you go, don't be afraid to get in up close and personal. Lots of history in the closeup shots, like weapons, clothing, tools, etc.
Ron
Jax, this is by far my favorite shot from you. This could very easily be a classic advertising poster. The guy on the left looks like he is holding on for dear life with muscles bulging while the guy on the right has one wrist resting on top of the handlebar while he is holding the other side with only a thumb and forefinger. And his expression tells just how much competition is present in this event. AWESOME SHOT AND PRESENTATION!!!
Ron
Keith, how did you find so many camera shy people? Are they all ducking down hiding from you? Oh, well, still a nice shot.
Ron
Melody, I don't like to repeat myself but I am going to in this case. Like I said before, "You are getting really good at your people shots".
Ron
Lucky for us you didn't hold back, Lonnie. I am jealous.
Ron
That's a bunch of nice boats, Gail. And it looks like there should be some fish in them there waters that want to jump into Lab's frying pan.
Ron
nice capture, heck they can run fast, thinking i havent see the one tht was hanging round here since the spring
Gail
not for us as they are not edible but hey im sure something out there will enjoy eationg them
horsechestnuts or conkers
Gail

we were told that the houses are painted in bright and different colors so a drunken sailor would not go home to the wrong house. Nice shots as always, Rene!
Alex
thank you, Rene'. fall is one of my favorites times of the year. I love the foliage, and to see it go so quickly this year is a shame. this is one of my favorite locations for shooting in the fall, especially when there's a nice flow of water.

Yesterday afternoon I got to the venue to photograph Carrie Underwood and Billy Currington. I was greeted with, "Carrie's regular photographer was able to make it... he wants to photograph the concert"
. Since he pretty much usually photographs Carrie, I said.. OK. That cost me some $$, but that is the way "pool" photography goes. I still had a pass, and I was given a fairly good seat in the lower plaza. I could not bring in my good cameras, but I was allowed to bring in my P&S Nikon for personal pictures.. Still had a great time, it was a rip roaring concert with Son's of Sylvia, Billy Currington and Carrie Underwood.. here are some pictures I captured at the show...
Yes.. lighting was horrid (again, kind of the new standard..) and swiveling spots were the norm!
Carrie wore several different outfits..
And am sure she was concerned with electrocution..
Thank you Rene & Izzy,
This was shot around mid-day on August 4 of last year (ISO 200, F 6.4, 1/500 sec) looking southeast from the Edinburg Marina towards the Edinburg Bridge in the southern Adirondack State Park, on the Great Sacandaga Lake. This is the area that I used to take my kids when they were younger, to go swimming, fishing and to watch the boats.

Have you ever heard of Clark Little?
He takes photos inside of waves. I was just introduced to his work.
Some really awesome shots. Here's a link if you'd like to check it out.
Photomum
Thanks for looking. I sure could have spent a whole day shooting those colorful scenes. But we had only 2 hours at the most. Our group had to get back to the ship .
Rene
Nothing like having a bulldozer in front to clear the way LOL ! Excelent shots, Tony.
Rene
I totally agree, Vivian.
Rene
Nothing like a river or a brook and colorful fall foliage to make a striking photo.
You sure have found a good spot there and the results are beautiful .
Over here near Montreal too the foliage is also duller due to excess heat and little water during summer.
It has been like that for many years now. Gone are the glorious and vivid reds I saw some 20 years ago.
