A Slow Spring ~~ But NH Cows Rock
Farmers across the state are nervously eying their calendars, brimming manure storages, and fields that are wet and/or frozen, or snow-covered, depending on location. Maple producers are not the only farmers dealing with major seasonal delays due to this year’s slow spring thaw.
Benedikt Dairy, Goffstown, NH

Check Out NH Agriculture Markets & Food’s Makeover
After many months of work, the Department of Agriculture, Markets & Food website has had its first complete make-over in more than 10 years. Our new website is now live, and we welcome comments and suggestions. We have a fresh, new look, and more importantly it should be easier to navigate. We have also expanded significantly the information that is available from each division. Another important improvement for a growing number of users, our website is now fully accessible to mobile devices.
New Hampshire Farm to School Program
In 2006, NHFTS initiated a new pilot program -- the Get Smart Eat Local 10 District Project -- to work with school districts and a wholesale farm in the seacoast region of the state to introduce new local foods in the schools.
