Anne's Adventure in Florence

Back in San Diego physically now, but mentally and emotionally I am still roaming the streets of Florence on my mountain bike, eating artisanal gelato and Turkish doner kebabs and shopping for the perfect boots. What an escape, and what a paradox to think an escape can go on forever.

I miss my daily cappuccino and pastry break - every day a different cafe, a slightly different-shaped mug or glass for my drink, and a different selection of pastries, different crowd of Italians, tourists, etc. around me. Not a Starbucks in sight.

Stay tuned, because there will be another adventure (escape?), as soon as I can arrange it . . . .
