About us

Vicky Beckham Smith of A-Z ANIMALS presents interesting information filled environmental education programs on a variety of wildlife subjects and other environmental subjects. A-Z ANIMALS environmental education classes include a power point presentation, presentation of live animals in a safe way, and hands on experiences with biofacts (skulls, preserved specimens, bones, pelts, wings, feet etc) and activities and literature that relate to the subject and that re-enforce information of the class. These programs are a great alternative to field trips as nature is brought into the classroom.  Most often requested subjects:  bats, reptiles, adaptations, birds, endangered species, creepy critters,  manatees and insects.

Vicky believes hands-on education provides students and adults with a greater appreciation of nature. Vicky is available for classroom presentations, library presentations, rec center and nature center presentations as well as other community presentations. She also offers teacher workshops on bats.  Programs are available in GA and AL and meet state standards.

Have special program in mind- or want to combine 2 programs into one --Vicky loves creating new and different programs just let her know and she will work with you to create the perfect program.

All programs are created for small groups of 50 or less to provide more time for interaction with the students and to allow hands-on activities. Programs can be adapted for larger groups and fees will vary depending on customers needs.  The program length is generally 45-60.  If more time is desired additional costs may be added. Games and activites, songs, poems and literature are often part of the programs. School programs include educational materials and other activities to be used post-program.

Teacher Workshops are available. Please contact Vicky for more information.
