The FOURTH Annual
Backyard Talent Show for St. Jude
was a huge success!

This year's show raised $13,700 for the kids of St. Jude, which means the BYTS has now raised just over $39,000!!! We are already thinking about Summer 2012. Stay tuned for details!

The Crew
OUR STORY
We are a group of cousins who like to have fun together! When we were younger, we'd have lemonade sales to raise money for charity. In 2008, we were inspired by our Grandma (who this year will run in the Memphis to Peoria Run for St. Jude for the 20th time!!!). So we decided to have a lemonade sale for St. Jude. We raised $155 and presented the money on the 2008 telethon.
Then we decided to step it up a notch! After a few days of brainstorming, the Backyard Talent Show idea was born. It is a lot of work, but a lot of fun too. Sometimes we get frustrated (with each other!) and discouraged, but in those times, we try to think of the St. Jude Kids that need our help.
Since 2008, we've had four shows and have raised over $39,000!!! This year, our show was bigger and better than ever! And as a result, we outgrew the backyard! But no worries! Our town stepped up in a big way and allowed us to have the show in Idlewood Park! It's just a hop, skip and a jump away from the actual backyard. And we think you will agree, it was a good move. TALENT SHOW!
We are looking for talented individuals to
STAR in the 5TH ANNUAL BACKYARD TALENT SHOW to benefit
St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital!
All we need are your amazing skills! Do you:
* Dance * Tumble * Sing * Tell jokes
* Perform magic tricks * Do animal tricks
* Write poetry * Perform dramatic or comedy acts
* Have any other special talents??
If so, we want you to be in the show! The 5th Annual BYTS will be held on July 14, 2012 at Idlewood Park in Morton, IL. Email your request for an entry form towww.backyardtalentshow@gmail.com
And if you would like to volunteer to help at the show or if you have any questions, email the above addy as well.
