Framing and sheathing the 1st floor took a day - guys working in 90+ heat, seriously moving along.  2nd Floor trusses and gable walls along with sheathing and 2nd floor subflooring taking place over the rest of the week.  Next week - roofing, siding, doors and windows.  Garage doors maybe.

Excavator finishes grading for the interior slab and backfilling exterior for drainage.  Pouring slab tomorrow (Tuesday); framing to start on Thursday.

Foundation guys set up the forms for the walls to allow for the garage doors and two normal doors.  Pouring the walls this afternoon.  And for the record, mowing the lawn around a giant excavator is weird... I think the lawnmower felt a little inadequate. 

Excavator built the ramp for the concrete truck.  Foundation peeps laid down the footings... walls up tomorrow

Justin and A.J. (the excavator) decided to work on a Saturday so not to be rushed come Monday.  The fellas worked hard to finish digging for the foundation, with some especially hard work done on breaking up a boulder at the far corner of the site, took about 2 hours to get that corner suitable for laying the footings.  Excavator returns Monday to make a ramp for the concrete truck.  Tuesday - footings, Wednesday - walls, then they start on the slab.

Water line should be in once the fellas drill through 20" of concrete; finding all sorts of things in the ground including concrete block, Miller Lite can, and an old tree stump.  If the water line goes smoothly (thank you City of Dover), then the guys can get on the trenches for the foundation.

We have finally broken ground on the two garage with eventual finished upstairs.  Our GC and excavator worked this morning to remove the existing asphalt driveway, then "shot the grades" for the garage floor.  The guys are hopeful to install the sewer connection and dig for the foundation by the end of the day.
