Hi Barb!! Well, I finally got my home page to be my Fall page! It was just soo much fun to be with the girls and I finally got those pages up too! Lisa has also uploaded a pic of you and her on one of my pages...come see if you can find it! Now, a lot can happen in a year...but they are thinking of coming back next year....the first weekend in October - so when you get your 2010 calendar...mark it down and hopefully - next year you can come too!! :0) I would love to meet you!!

I hope that with fall and the cooler temps she will start feeling better! My Aunt & Uncle have a cabin up in Salida Colorado - and my Gparents used to spend summers up there. We went camping this last weekend - and the leaves are starting to change! Already! And my camera was in the Truck! arrgh! We went on a great hike through a canyon where a stream runs through and the Aspen are looking a little pale....just before they turn bright yellow!

I bet you are having the time of your life with the birds...WOW WOW WOW....I want to come to your house so bad...maybe next yr! Hey Barb...How ya doing today!? I like your new picture with that bright green visor! So glad you stopped by the other day! We had a great time camping! It was warm but where we were there was a great breeze that I thought was pretty fantastic! ha! I put our trip up on the Las Vegas page - we did so much in just 2 days that before 9pm..I was out! When it's just us...we have our afternoons where we just put our feet up and read or snooze ...and we had none of that last weekend! But ... it's worth it to have time with family! My Mom even came, she had a blast! I checked out your wedding page...I'll work on getting some pictures for that one too. How's your Mom doing? I love all the old photos you have on your site. Just beautiful....they have that special touch to them. So much history when you look at them. I'm glad you liked all my family wedding photos.
Yesterday was the first day this entire summer we reached 90°F in NYC. I sat under my big tree and did not melt away. Today another hot day. The party was fun but I did feel out of place. I don't see these people often and just feel like I don't fit. But I made the best of it and it was a night out.

Barb, I survived camping, dang near melted but survived. I laughed alot too!! It was a good trip. We caught a 20 pound Bluecat, which Randy fried some of last night, it was very good :) Jean was camping in the mountains, I was at Lake Texoma. Texoma is big though, like a small ocean. I sat in a lawn chair on the shore with the waves rolling up on my feet listening to the waves, soooooo relaxing.

I have a graduation dinner to attend but I feel out of place. You see it is a co-worker of Joe. She is a R.N. and her son just graduated X-Ray school and she is having a dinner celebration for him. But I don't know anyone. I did meet the Mom but only once several years ago. So I am a stranger there but I am going to make Joe happy. I'll make the best of it and who knows I may have a good time.

Re: My interest in photography & scrapbooking
Scrapbooking was really the result of 2 good friends who were concerned about my 'work-a-holic' tendencies! They introduced me to 'paper' scrapbooking. I loved it.......and was a dedicated material scrapper for about a year.
At about the same time, a wedding photographer noticed my photography and asked if I wanted to be his '2nd shooter'. After working with him for awhile, I really became interested in album design.
And this is truly when these 2 worlds collided for me in a new way. I still have LOTS to learn.......in photography and designing. But I love it all.
I need to run for now but also wanted to thank you for your sweet comments on our wedding & 10 yr. anniversary pics. We are incredibly in love with each other and will celebrate our 25 year anniversary in a few short days. In this part of my life, I honestly could not feel more blessed.
I will visit again soon. Thanks for thinking of me.....I just hit my 2 month mark in this darn cast.....and well, um......it's getting old! Trying to keep the 'dark side' to myself!

HI Barb, I saw you had visited. I was out all day yesterday, meeting Ft. Worth and then the Stockyards. It was sooo blooming hot that I got sick! I only ended up staying an hour. I was totally bummed. I had forgotten how great that area is and we have vowed to go back in November when it's much cooler!! I definitely think that anyone visiting Texas should not miss the Stockyards and Billy Bob's!!

Barbara, I so much love everything on your site. (Can I get in your suitcase?) I won't ask "how much longer until we are there" I'm potty trained ummm....I don't eat much...hahaha...LOL. You asked about my flowers...first thank you so much! Yours are equally as bright! I think we are always harder on ourselves! I told Cheri today. I bet I take at least...AT LEAST 200 flower photos a day! I go to the flower store and look for flowers that will make pretty photos. (Then buy them) I'm so bummed that most of my flowers have bloomed. I DID plant...ummm....close to150 bulbs this year. (And i'm not done) I can't wait to take the photo class this month.

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary! How wonderful you and Lisa got to meet. I also got to meet a fellow Sf'er........she recognized some of the images in my son's graduation book and we discovered we were neighbors!

I heard about the earthquake. It has made me a little concerned. We may have to cancel our trip. Took mom back to the Dr. today. She is getting sick again the same thing with her asthma. I got a letter from the dr. for insurance but we will see how she is doing by Wednesday a.m. Pray that we will do the right thing. The Dr. was not concerned but gave her some powerful meds.

ANCHORAGE (AP) — A strong earthquake jolted urban areas of Alaska on Monday, sending people diving under desks and huddling in doorways.
The U.S. Geological Survey said an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.7 struck near the town of Willow at 11:28 a.m. Monday. The epicenter was 58 miles from the state's largest city, Anchorage, where the rumbled continued for several moments.
The West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center reported the quake's magnitude at a slightly weaker 5.3 and said no tsunami will be generated.
There are no immediate reports of damage or injury, but the shaking was felt over a wide swatch of southcentral Alaska.
Aftershocks were shaking the area, with one about a half-hour later measuring 4.1.

Thanks for stopping by. Real fast...got my lens...I don't like it...too heavy and doesn't work right. I have to call them today and see if I'm doing something wrong. A lot of money for not liking it. You asked about my flowers some of them what I did was use a black vingette. Do you have Photoshop elements??? Lisa and I bought the thing to use. Its called Actions. Come in all kinds of things...white, black, sepia etc. They are like 3.00 and work with PSE. Let me know if you have the program and i'll give you more info. Anyway, other that cropping thats all I did..Kinda fads out the corners.
I saw a hummer in my picture window today. I want pictures as pretty as yours so bad I can taste it!!!! LOL

I saw another hummer today..didnt get a picture of him though. sniff...AND OMG...I missed them (i'll get them) but...tonight...there was TWO "T W O" of those HUGE Woodpeckers out there...I thought I was seeing double. haha...I hope I like this lens...email me ( m5087@sbcglobal.net ) and i'll tell you more..I don't want anyone to think i'm TOTALLY nuts on here. ha....Hey, they came out with three new Sony's (one to replace ours) Sony A370 or something like that...lighter etc...I have to go tomorrow and get mine cleaned. I have s spot that is showing up in photos. I tried the self cleaning thing...didn't work and I tried cleaning it myself. Lets just say...I didn't do well.

I should really be able to get that ol Woodpecker now! haha...You asked what camera I use. I have a Sony A350 the bird photos were shot with the 70-300 mm. Ok, so how did you get all your hummers to come? I have 7 feeders and have only seen one hummer. He was gone by the time I got my camera. Do I need more nectar in the water or???? Any thoughts? (Maybe get rid of the 4 cats? haha)
