We are finally here!!! Take a peek at the photos although they really don't do the space justice. Please stop by and see the new digs.
Thank you for being so patient. We can't wait for the Grand Opening on 2/21. We hope to see you there!
Happy Days are here again!
Heidi and Lisa
We can't believe it but we are finally on the home stretch! Painting is pretty much complete, lighting is being worked on and the carpets are being installed as we speak. We are so excited to see such great progress in the last couple of weeks. (Big thanks to our hard working contractors. You are the best!) Our move date has been set for this coming Monday February 2nd. Our plan is to have the space set up and ready for business by Wednesday February 4th. It is going to be an exciting (and probably crazy) couple of days! We are finalizing all the details and getting ready to pack our existing space. We will be open for business through the weekend. The chore of packing will start on Sunday afternoon so we can be ready for the movers to arrive bright and early on Monday morning!
Stay tuned for more photos! Feel free to stop by anytime to see the new space. We are very proud to show it off! Thank you for all the well wishes, patience, and support. We wouldn't be here without you.
Warmest wishes,
Heidi and Lisa
Although it feels like things are moving sluggishly we are finally seeing some major progress at the new space. The walls are up and the finish work is almost complete. The walls are in the process of being plastered and painting should start soon - maybe even as soon as Saturday! If all goes according to plan the painting will be finished next week and the carpet will be installed the following week. Our tentative move date is February 2nd. We can't even wait! We are working on all the details such as lighting and finishes. It is finally coming together. We can't wait to be moved in and settled but know it will be worth the wait.
Check out our newest photos and stay tuned for an invitation to the Grand Opening which will be held on February 21st. By then we should be settled in and relaxed... maybe!
Thanks for your continued support and patience. We can't wait to show off our new digs!
Stay warm,
Heidi and Lisa
We are just about into the new year and as we should have suspected construction is coming along slowly! Very slowly! We finally secured our building permit but have run into a few snags. We are plugging through. If all goes well, we should have an inspection this week which means they can FINALLY start boarding the walls. This will really make it look like a store! In the meantime, our furniture has been delivered and put together but is being stored by our favorite neighbors - Giblees! They have been more than gracious while we get through this process... thankfully!
I've posted photos of our temporary sign! Hooray! As well as our new front door and the hallway carpet. As I am sure you can imagine, Lisa and I are very anxious to be in our new digs. We've started packing and are in the process of organizing all the pieces for the move. With that said, it looks like we will remain in the existing space until further notice. Hopefully mid-January - keep your fingers crossed! We will continue to stay in touch so there is no confusion (hopefully) as to how to find us. Thank you for your continued patience and support. We know this "little" project will be worth the wait!
We are looking forward to an exciting New Year!
We are getting very excited as our target date draws near. Construction is moving a little bit slower than expected - shouldn't we have expected that??? The electrician is at the site now, the security system is being installed, and our phones lines have been pulled. According to the contractor, our walls should be put up next week. Hopefully!! We can't wait to see the space start to come together as a new store. If all goes well and everyone gets in and out on time we may hit our target date. Worst case scenario would be getting us in during the 2nd week of January as opposed to the first. We are still coordinating everything and really pushing to meet our target date, but with the holidays in the mix we don't have much control. We are at the mercy of our friend Mr. Ray Falite.
There is a delay with the temporary signage - of course - so Alan (Gibeley) was gracious enough to put our "Coming Soon" on his sign. We chatted last night and he said he will try to make it a bit bigger. I added the photo. It is great to see our name in lights!!!
Stay tuned for more updates! Happy Holidays!
Well we are finally through the first few weeks of construction. The frames are up and we should soon have a permit to finish boarding - getting the walls on the frames. The electrician should be in the space this week... fingers crossed. The new phone lines have been brought to the space so when we are ready our phones can be plugged in. (Please note: we have a new phone number! Our old number will be forwarded for the first 6 months so we shouldn't have any hiccups.) Lisa and I finally decided on paint colors. We deliberated but decided to go with colors that are very similar to our existing space but have a little more life to them. We measured the fitting rooms for curtains and those are also on order. We are really excited to see everything coming together, but are anxious to see the space with the walls done. As long as the permit comes through soon we should be in good shape to move on Jan. 1! Our plan is still to be open for business by Jan. 2. Also, the temporary signage should be up this week. The word is definitely out!
Thanks for taking the time to visit. Stay posted for more photos of the construction progress.
We are so excited about our new space! We are in a great building above Giblees Men's Wear, Women's Wear, and Tuxedos. We are still on Route 114 but now in the town of Danvers. We hope to be moved in and open for business by January 2, 2009 -in just 4 weeks! Our timeline is tight but we aren't phased! The adrenaline is pumping.
Take a tour of our blank slate and be sure to visit regularly as we document the construction progress. The NEW and IMPROVED Bella Sera is sure to wow!
Congratulations Heidi and Lisa!
The space looks amazing! I am so proud of you two! I'm sure it's been a long road, but it has paid off!
Can't wait to see the gowns inside!

I don't think I could ever convey how proud I am of you both. To know how this started and all the work put in the last five years is in itself something you should both feel great about. When you add in the unbelievable growth and response, it is truly amazing. It is a true testament to the both of you. You deserve this opportunity to grow your business and continue to have an impact on everybody who walks into your fabulous new space. I have no doubt in my mind that if you stay true to who you are and why you started this business that you will continue to be very, very successful. I am happy to be along for the ride.
NOW LET'S GET SOME SIGNAGE UP !!!!
Hey there girls. Congratulations! Sounds like and looks like things are going great! I'm so very excited for you both.
Good luck! Would be great if you could scan or show the floor plan.
I'll have to plan a long overdue visit once all is complete.
Hugs and kisses and happy holidays!
