Hi! How are you doing? I wanted to stop by to wish you a Happy New Year! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Any travel plans for 2012? We are hoping to do a little road trip in August to Hilton Head Island, Virginia Beach, or Ocean City, MD. Right now Marina is in Venezuela she paid for her own trip. She left on Christmas day and will be back on Wed. I miss her so much! :( We do get to talk on the phone because I have Vontage, then we blackberry messenger each other, send facebook messages to each other, and email each other at least 15 times a day. Thank God for technology. :)

How are you doing? How are your grandkids and kids doing? I hope you enjoyed the summer. Are you ready for fall yet? It was my 1st summer in Indiana and I loved the beaches here. The past 2 months have been hard to adjust to having my 19 year old son Joe 500 miles away and for my almost 17 year old daughter to have to adjust to leaving EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE behind in NY. She started her junior year with over 2000 strangers. I hope and pray she meets some really nice friends here in Indiana. I was just thinking of you and wanted to stop by! WOW! Lillian is getting so big! She's beautiful! How have you been? How was your Easter?
Sorry I have been MIA. Life is so crazy right now with our moves(3 moves in 3.5 weeks with Rob moving from the small Indiana apartment to the bigger family apartment, moving Joe into his 1st apartment in NY since he wants to continue to go to colllege and work here in NY, and then moving our family to IN finally.) I have been going on 36 hours stretches with like 2 hours of sleep and off running again. My body is so sore. I will try to catch up as soon as things calm down.
Rob and Joe went to CA to visit our relatives and had so much fun! They went to the San Diego Zoo and loved it. Have you ever went to the San Diego Zoo? Then they went on their 1st father/son cruise. They went to Avalon on Catalina Island and to Mexico. :)

Benny, I just viewed your three wise monkeys book, and found it incredibly good! I loved the photos of the children covering their eyes and mouths! Then you get to the serious part where you show what all the different activities the kids are doing in school! I know your family must love you a lot for making these beautiful books for them, it must make them feel very special! I love your photography, Benny! I have always enjoyed your books about the different countries you have been to also! I hope this finds you, and all of your family in good health, and having a great 2011! Thanks for the Christmas wishes! A new shutterfly photobook to ring in the new year sounds like the perfect evening. I will be alone again for another holiday since Rob moved(relocated for work) in Aug. He missed Labor Day, 1st day of school, our anniversary, Marina's 16th bday, sweetest day, Thanksgiving, and now New Years Eve, & New Years day, etc. We have only been together the 4 of us for 2.5 hours total for the past 4.5 months. Its been extremely difficult having Rob miss out on so many important events and holidays with him being 500 miles away. I am so grateful I have all my Shutterfly Friends and Shutterfly to get me through these tough times in my life. I was thinking that since I will be alone that I will work on photobooks! Marina and I just got back from our 1st mother/daughter trip and cruise. I got so many amazing photos with my 1st DSLR camera(Nikon D90). It was such a fun trip and so nice to get away from the snow and cold. We both enjoyed each others company so much and it was nice to get away from all the stress. I will be posting tons of photos after Christmas.

Rob is home briefly and has to leave Christmas afternoon so we will be off to the airport this time tomorrow. He is busy getting icicles off the sides of the house so I thought I would stop by real quick!

Dear Benny, wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season. This isn't my normal "book" of a comment, but I am getting a bit tired. I decided to stay up all night for some silly reason and it's starting to catch up with me. I think I need a nap at 9 am!!! LOL!

I wanted to wish you a lovely holiday and then here I found your WONDERFUL Holiday Page. How nice that you all wished me a nice holiday in a very sweet way. The kids are having so much fun and doing all the different activities. What a treat to see! Oh my, Mr. Benny, but this site is an absolute jewel! I have been meaning to come visit for quite a while, and I am so glad I did.....AMAZING! These large shots of Lily are enchanting. You have 3 of the most beautiful grandchildren ever....they have such captivating eyes!

Benny I have to thank you for the lovely, lovely photos you sent. I was just amazed! Every single one of your family vacation this year and the wonderful trip that you and Ruth took to Thailand is on the site in thumbnail form. How are you doing? Hope you are enjoying the fall season with the temps cooling down a bit in your area! Any fall plans? Are you excited for Halloween? I bet your grandkids are! I love this time of year! I got married on Oct. 1, 1993 and picked the date because I love the change of season in NY and the cooler temps! Then Marina was born Oct.7, 1994 and will be sweet 16 this Thursday! October is an exciting time for our family with lots of celebrating! Unfortunately its been really cold, gloomy, & rainy the past week! We have had temps in the low 40's! I'm not ready for the cold weather! I like the 60-65 degree fall weather! This is bone chilling! We had to put the heat on the other day already! I'm hoping it will warm up and the sun will come out! My husband came home for the 1st time since he moved away in August. He leaves tomorrow! It went by so fast! Talk to you soon! Enjoy the sun and warm weather! If you can have a talk with Mother Nature then please ask her to send some sun NY"s way! Thanks! :)

Hello, Benny. I just had to stop for my special photo viewing for this week. I love to visit here and see all the new things I have missed or to view old favorites. I have done both tonight. I think Lillian's new hairdo is darling. She is growing up to be so photogenic...just like her big brother and sister! I have commented before on her wonderful photos, but have enjoyed seeing them so much again. Some things are appreciated more each time and these shots of her fall into that category.

I had to visit Bangkok again. Your page is just exquisite!!! It is breathtaking each time I view it. Today I noticed just how amazing that large elephant sculpture is. It looks as 'real' as the real elephants in the photos below it! The gold statues, the artwork, the history you show of the elephant, and the lovely shots of Ruth combine to make it magical. I come here often just to look. I really mean it when I say "thanks" for that page. I took a quick look at a few other pages. Your site is crammed with wonderful pages. Sometimes I feel some of my pages are marginal, but you don't have a "marginal" page on your site! I have enjoyed my visit here tonight. Hello again, Benny. Your Bangkok page is one of the most beautiful pages I have EVER seen. It is so lovely it makes me feel as if I had been there. I think that is why I love it so much. You could do a piece for a travel magazine and your work would be as good as any they had ever had! You rival National Geographic or even outdo them if they just had a little article. Your work is beautiful and the sites you visited are exquisite in their beauty. I know I keep using beauty over and over, but I don't know what else to say. I did not realize that is was possible to still see such beauty. I thought it was probably long gone. Thank you for opening my eyes. I am so happy you two got to visit and think you chose wisely on where to go. Thank you for posting this incredible page!

p.s. I have spent 50 minutes on this page, just gazing. I would still be gazing but I have an appointment I have to make. This has been delightful!

Hi, Benny. I am still hanging in there. I haven't been on the sites too much and just saw you commented on David's book in the Gallery a while ago. I am a proud grandma and wanted you to know that HE picked out the entire book and told me exactly how he wanted it...right down to what to say. That Disney book was made by David when he was 7. My Disney book is much different, but I think I am more proud of his little book. He wanted the 'blue jean paper' and it just went from there. He was quite bossy (or secure in what he wanted...) and pretty much did all the journaling also. He was very familiar with the photos so he would correct me when I chose the wrong one..."no the picture where Pluto looks like this!" His mom and I didn't laugh or giggle but it was difficult to keep a straight face during the construction of "David's Book". As a devoted grandpa, I didn't think you'd mind me telling you about the way this book was created.

Another great book, Benny! Your topic is perfect. I have often wanted to use this for a book also. The children are precious also. Benny, I am just 'blown away' with your new book, See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil. This could be used in parenting classes. We, as a country, would be better off if this book or similar books would be used in parenting classes. What a responsible way to bring up your kids and grandkids (I tried also, but you have it down to a science!).

Your book is laid out so well, with your philosophy right up front and then reinforced again at the end. You have darling models in Evan, Julia, and even little Lillian! Then...you go on to cram your book with wonderful examples of the positive things we can do to set our children on the right path. Wow! What a mixture. Your philosophy to live life by and then your wonderful photos to illustrate our positive options. A perfect mixture!!! I am proud to see someone make such a book and proud to consider them a friend, even if a "Shutterfly friend". Thank you. This book is much needed throughout the country. It would add much to the moral climate and be a great help...plus it is so fun to read and look at. This is a true winner!!! Thank you for thinking of it and making it! Barbara Jean

Benny, I hope you are all having a wonderful, wonderful vacation. What a dream to make come true! The kids will be so excited with what they see and will have these memories forever. Love Lillians new hair style. She is precious all tired out in her car carrier. I love that pose.

I foresee great organizational skills for that girl...or either work as a wedding consultant...Love her photo lining up the daisies!!! (My Lisa made a "flower cake" one day at her Grandpa and Grandma's. Thank goodness it was in the fall soon before a big frost. She depleted the yard of flowers. They were babysitting her, so mama didn't get in trouble. Neither did she. Her "cake" was beautiful and lasted.)
Anyway, this precious photo of Lillian with her daisies is wonderful.

Hi Benny! Its been a long time since the last time that I visited your site. WOW! Your site has a big improvement. You have so many great and wonderful photos here on your homepage. Mrs. Gonzalez who's touching the snake is a beautiful shot. She is so very brave to touch the snake. Oh my I don't think that I am brave enough to touch the snake.
The hiking in Willow Creek trail is so much fun. The kids are truly enjoy walking on the trail. Beautiful Job!

Thanks for the well wishes for Joe's graduation! He is finished with school now and the graduation ceremony is on June 24th! His party is on July 17th! Marina is done with her classes but has to go back 2 times this week for exams then she is finished! :)
I am so excited to hear you and your family are all going to Asia together next week! What a dream come true to travel to Asia with your kids and grandchildren. Have a safe trip! I can't wait to see all the photos! Make sure you have tons of extra batteries, chargers, & extra memory cards! If you bring a laptop you can upload them to your computer & to shutterfly at night or early morning when you are waiting for the whole gang to get ready! LOL! I'm always the last one to bed & first one up so I always have time to upload photos! Last trip I forgot my cord that connects to my camera & laptop! Make sure you have your cord if you or anyone is bringing a laptop! :)

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! We had a cookout & a yard sale! I sold so much stuff it was unreal! LOL! Any plans for the summer? Are your grandkids on summer vacation already? In NY the kids go to school until the end of June. Joe's graduation is June 24th. I can't believe he is graduating already! Time flies when your having fun! LOL! We are having his party in mid-July! Hopefully we will have nice weather! Joe got his 1st job a few months ago & now he wants to buy fireworks! The company in PA sends us brochures so he has his list already! Fireworks are so dangerous! I like to go to a park & watch them not at someone's house! I have seen too many people get injured or almost injured badly when the wind knocks them down. My dad always loved fireworks & bought a huge assortment every year! He let all the kids blow them off!
Anyways, have a wonderful weekend! :)

Hi, Benny! I've been trying to catch up and am not doing so good. Thanks for stopping by while I was gone. It was really nice to see greetings when I got home! I love the field trip... I miss those days. I think it is so cute to see Evan and his friend "braving" the wilds by themselves. They look like they are sure helping each other out! Julia looks like she really enjoyed the outing also. The possums here attack and kill the little newborn kittens in the woods...that I try to catch and get adopted...so right now they are not my favorites. Nature has to take it's course though and I understand that.

Lillian with the chick in the egg is just ADORABLE!!! She is darling in both photos and I love her kissing her new chick! What sweet and wonderful times ahead for you all.

I got to see my grandson, David over the weekend. He is growing so fast! I went to their campground and they grilled out. It's right on the Ohio River & we haven't had much rain. David goes swimming, which scares me as his grandmother. The toxic level in the water worries me also, but I cannot butt in too much. I want to be invited back!

My aunt in W.Va. is doing as best as she can. She has so much energy she runs me ragged, but she is still an ill woman. I can't keep up with her and neither can my friend, John. She has lived on her farm since 1944 and we are trying to let her keep living there as long as she can. She is so isolated, if she has a problem it's bad. They called an old number for "life alert" when she fell this spring and couldn't get anyone! It was a mess. I am trying to visit there as much as I can, and I do love it so very much. I remember tracking deer and a "wildcat" with my dad when I was very small. Now I look back and wonder if there really was a wildcat that disappeared into the brush. Daddy is gone, so I guess I will never know. I choose to think there WAS a wildcat and we almost got it!

Keep taking these wonderful photos of the kids. You do such a great job! It makes me want to do better. Thanks for stopping by and for your support. I hope you had a good Easter, Mother's Day, and Memorial Day! (I told you I was late!) On the good side, I DID get to spend Mother's Day with my aunt. She never married and was embarrassed I told her she was like a mother to me...but I think she loved it! I sure did!

I love how excited the kids are for the hike! They went on quite an adventure & its so cool that you were there snapping away!
I love how curious & fascinated the kids are with the snake! What brave kids! I am afraid of snakes! My husband & kids love them! I have one in my garden & I'm petrified! I don't want to get rid of it because it eats the moles!
I just got back from NYC & on a cruise to Bermuda with my husband! We had so much fun but missed the kids so much!

I did get a new camera just 2 weeks ago. I even got the half-moon! Super excited. This looks like a fantastic field trip. The fire station was good too. Someone is doing a great job planning these trips. This Willow Creek area looks rugged and fun. Just "dangerous" enough to have the kids spellbound and exploring. Love the possum photos. I do hope the Ranger made it a point to not touch even non-venomus snakes. (Get some nasty germs in 'them there' bites! I'm a West Virginia gal.) Are Julia and Evan in the same class...or are their classes just lucky to get to do things together? the photos are all so good. I especially love Evan and his friend in yellow coming out of the overgrowth "tunnel". They look so serious and BRAVE. I love their expressions.

I love Lillian doing her "gymnastics". She is just too cute! I think she is copying big brother and sister. It's a really good photo of her.

I haven't gotten past this page today. You have so many new photos. I'll be back soon to check everything out again. I always love to visit here. My best to you and your family. I hope you are having a pleasant spring. (We still are waiting here for spring in Ohio.) My neighbor put out fake silk flowers in her flower bed she's so disqusted with the weather. I loove these garden photos, too sweet!! Spring has arrived here in Texas, we have blooming trees and daffodils about so I know it's here. Still pretty chilly at night, in the 40's but during the day we are at the 60 and 70's, beautiful. But here in Texas it will be no time and we'll have that 110 degree weather, I soooo dread that! I know you live in California, there's more of a constant temp there, hopefully your days are beautiful :)

I stopped by to check out your photos. I had to hurry the last time I was here. I missed Julia and Evan playing around the playpen. I just noticed them gardening. They are both so photogenic and just beautiful kids. Her balance and poise are of a much older child and Evan is just a little doll. Benny, I love your new header and the page is wonderful. I love the photos of Julia and Evan gardening. (Did you know I love flowers? I have dug up some poor plants up to maybe 5 times when I've moved.) The kids look so intense & Julia is just lovely. I got the flu Christmas Eve & we still haven't exchanged presents with my grandson. He's 8. Jan.1 was first day I've been moving around.

I came here to thank you for the gorgeous photo of the kids with the male calico. I did not know your info & appreciate it. If ok, I would like to use in future (& credit you) on the site. It also explains what is now funny...we took the little Patches (calico) in to the vet. They asked what sex & I said "male". They said "Really? That's unusual". When we had taken a batch of cats in to be fixed, that vet had marked Patches as a male & only charged the lower male price to "fix" her. All along I've thought of her as a girl. It's funny that the first vet labeled her "male" & just charged the lower male rate. Now I know why the second vet thought it was unusual if Patches HAD been a male. Love all your photos and thank YOU so much for your ever so kind comments on my 2 latest books. Yeah, my nephew is quite talented. I still hope to do a book of him and his band. He is really good. Benny I saw your comment on Tonette's site and I wanted to comment on something that you said.
The part about how you have met people that haven't been to Disney or the beach and they live in California. I hope it's not to noisy for me to comment. I think the same thing though. I started my Exploring Texas page a while back, it started because I want to travel but funds limit me. So I thought I should open my eyes to the things around me and I haven't regretted that at all. Texas is huge and has tons to see. I have managed to take my two brothers to Galveston and they have never been there. My sister in law has lived in Texas her whole life and never seen the ocean. I'm documenting places I've been before but not looked at from the angle I am now. It's fun and I know my grandbaby will love it too. Life is just at the end of our funger tips all we have to do is grab it :)

I didn't go see Paul McCartney but I heard it was an awesome concert!! It was in the new Cowboys stadium and apparently the parking alone was 75 dollars. That's a little outside my price range. It would have been a great concert to see.

Hi Benny, I was so excited to read that you are a Beatles maniac!! I don't have any collectables but I do have many CD's I've gone and bought. When I was young I was upset that the Beatles had broken up, I felt like I was born too late! I think seeing them on stage would have been incredible!! Do you prefer their early music or their later music?
I collect postcards, have for years and years. One day I was watching TV and they had Ringo Starr on for his new book. The book is about postcards :) His bandmates use to send him postcards from everywhere and he saved them. It's a fun book, which I bought right after that.

MY SON PLAYED BRIEFLY AND PERFORMED ON STAGE 2 TIMES AND I WAS WORKING SO I MISSED OUT! I THOUGHT HE WOULD BE INTO PLAYING IN A ROCK BAND LONGER SINCE HE SPENT HIS OWN MONEY ON THE GUITAR AND EQUIPMENT! ANYWAYS, I REALLY WISH I HAD THOSE MOMENTS CAPTURED IN A PHOTO! NOW THE PAST FEW YEARS HE HATES HIS PICTURE TAKEN! ANYWAYS, KEEP SNAPPING AND ENJOYING ALL THE PRECIOUS MOMENTS! I'LL CHECK BACK REAL SOON! :)

The Hawaiian Wedding Song picture is wonderful!! Every time I come here I find myself staring into it :) Really I love it!! I had friends that had a van like the one below. We would load up and go all over the place in that van....very good times. The modern day mummy picture is awesome!!! Just came by to check on ya and see what's new. I'll be back in the Gallery on Monday, hopefully have time to look at more books :)

Thanks for the great comment on my garden book!! That garden had us swamped in veggies, we were giving them away to anyone that wanted them. That was about 5 years ago, this years garden wasn't such a success.
