CAST PARTY MAY 19TH FROM 2:30-4:00

Drama Club is for any 3rd, 4th or 5th grader who
enjoys the performing arts by
acting, singing, dancing, using the imagination
to express oneself, and/or doing behind the scenes work.
You will explore how important your imagination is and learn how to better communicate with others through creative dramatics.  You will take part in skits, reader’s theatres, games, drama read alouds, and a Spring production. 


During the club meetings, we will have a quick snack at 2:30, and then we will get started.  The students will not be permitted to do homework during Drama Club, so they will have to do it when they get home.  If we find that children are using Drama Club as an excuse for not being able to do homework, they will be removed from the club.
If there is ever a conflict to where a student cannot come to a meeting, please send us a note or email so we will know not to expect him or her that afternoon. We will be taking attendance this year, and we are allowing only 4 absences, excused or unexcused, for the entire year.  Consistency is very important for forming a comfortable community within the club. When we start rehearsals for the spring production, attendance will be mandatory. We will be having auditions in October or November for roles in our spring production.
Drama club is supposed to be creatively fun, and every child who participates has an important role in the success of the club!  If this is something you really want to do, please don’t quit or give up when things don’t go your way or you don’t get the part you want.  However, we understand that some of you may change your mind about being in the club.  Please make a decision within the first few weeks (by the end of September) and let us know if Drama Club is not right for you.  After September, keep in mind that this is a commitment, and quitting negatively affects more than just YOU!

so good attitude and behavior is expected!
