Brielle is TWO!
WOW How time flies....Cannot believe how fast my baby has grown...she's not a baby anymore and is real quick to let you know that. She thinks she is 2 going on 20. She loves to accessorize with her purses, shoes, necklaces, and bracelets. We've gotta take a baby doll just about everywhere we go and cannot forget the blankets too. She loves her big girl bed she got for her second birthday. She thinks it's so neat that she has her own "house" too. She loves to invite everyone upstairs to "see brielle's house!" I'm not sure when it occured but somehow she skipped over sentence fragments and went straight to complete sentences. Sniff Sniff. She can say her ABC's and loves to tease you when you ask her to say then. She will reply "A-B-C's" and just laugh at you. She can recite Little Boy Blue, Little Miss Muffet, and loves to sing and dance at every oppotunity... She's quite the lil stinker. She loves to help mommy in the yard. She has recently discovered how much fun the water hose is and loves to plant flowers with mommy. This is very interesting considering I've never enjoyed planting flowers. It's amazing the things you find yourself doing just to see a little joy in your sweethearts eyes. Mommy recently lost her job and Brielle just thinks it's so cool that she gets to stay home with mommy....If you give her an option to stay home or go to school she will tell you "I want to stay home with mommy!" I'm really enjoying this time with her. It's only been a week but I have gotten so much joy out of spending quality time with her. Even when she's a lil stinker and gets mad at mommy because mommy locked the keys in the car and then we cannot go to the zoo...So she decides, lets just pee in our pants, make a puddle in the floor and then "splash in the pee pee...hahahaha.." Yeah that was a fun time! Actually, it was pretty comical. I asked her later why she peed in her pants and then splashed in it and she answered, "I was mad at mommy." Since when do two year olds plan revenge? At her 2 year check up Dr. said she had a clean bill of health but there was one issue she was concerned about. She said, "You and Alan are in for a treat, u are gonna have your hands full." I agree. We are ready for the challenge though. She brings us so much joy. Ask us again when she's 16 and we might think differently! Everyday is full of surprises, did I mention how much we love surprises?
100 Year Celebration!
WOW! What an accomplishment. Grandma Thomas celebrated her 100th Birthday this past weekend. That truly is amazing. Brielle got in on the celebration too! This past week has been full of accomplishments- BIG and small. Brielle started really crawling and getting around very well. It's official, she is "on the go" now. It's been a lot of fun seeing all the stages of her getting around. She is also done with baby food. She demands that she gets real food. We sure didn't see that coming so soon but since her second tooth has broken the gum she is all about "Big Girl" food. She has also explored "sharing" her food with Billie Jean. Although Mommy and Daddy get on to her, she still somehow finds a way to sneak the doggie food. She has also discovered sippie cups this past week. She's pretty good at using one. I keep teasing Alan that when she goes back to daycare Monday they are gonna wanna know where Brielle is since she has changed so much in the past 2 weeks. She's so much fun these days. We couldn't imagine our lives without her, she brings us so much joy!
Christmas and New Years
We had a wonderful Christmas. Brielle really got into the whole present thing more than we expected her to. Thank you to everyone who made our first Christmas so memorable. I took tons of pictures but only uploaded a small amount of them. It's time to get busy on scrapbooking all those pictures now! Brielle and her Cousin Zoey rang in the New Year together. We got them New Years hats and noise makers. They loved it. Of course their New Year started about 8pm on New Years Eve. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
X-Mas is Coming
What an exciting and eventful week we had. Friday night Brielle got to go to my department Holiday Gathering at my boss' house. She was the life of the party! She loved all the attention.
Saturday Brielle went to her first parade at Christmas in New Harmony. We went with our Cousins Ashley and Zoey. She was not the slightest bit afraid of the loud fire trucks and ambulances. She was trying to figure it all out! She had her first visit with santa. She wasn't too sure of him. She spent most of her time on his lap trying to figure out what he had growing from his chin. It was pretty cute. She got to visit with her Great Aunt Dana, Great Uncle Jr.,and second cousins Emily and Abbey. (And of course Zoey and Ashley) Everyone was all bundled up since it was a blustery day. It even snowed on us! How fun! The girls also had a play date this weekend. Brielle was very very interested in Zoey. She kept wanting to hug Zoey and touch her. They are gonna be great buds!
Sunday Alan and I had a speaking part at church for Advent and Brielle joined us. She decided when daddy was speaking that she wanted the microphone too. Everyone thought it was cute! Then we headed to Maw Maw's for her Holiday Open House. Brielle got her first wrapped present and helped daddy unwrap it. She got her first baby doll. She played with that baby all day long. Maw Maw did good. Tonight we took time out to decorate the tree as a family. Brielle helped daddy put the angel tree topper on. We couldn't believe our eyes. When they finally got the tree topper on Brielle smiled really really big, let out a little squeal and clapped her hands. It was adorable. That will definately make it into her scrapbook. She is a smart little cookie! She hung a x-mas ornament on the tree with mommy's help too. It was the ornament that I made for her at Stormy's birthday (All fired up) this past year...Yes I was still pregnant with her! We are super excited about this holiday season.
Turkey Day
We had a very nice Thanksgiving. Stormy and Brielle had a slumber party on Wednesday night then we woke up to a peachy aroma. Alan had made us breakfast! A Peach French Toast Bake. It was delicious! Stormy liked it so much she had to have seconds. Brielle got a kick out of Stormy being there when she first woke up. Brielle just smiled and smiled at her. Later we made peanut butter no bakes and corn casserole to take to Val's for Thanksgiving dinner. Lunch was wonderful. We had all the fixings. We celebrated with Aunt Val, Aunt Hillallie, Stormy, MiMi, and Pap Paw. It was a nice time. Brielle got to try some pumpkin pie and loved it. I found out later that the piece we ate was actually stormy's. Oppsie!
Friday we went to a few stores to try to catch some bargains. We got a late start so missed most of the really great deals. Brielle got to pick out a toy and she picked out a little laptop. She will play with that thing for hours. She acts like she knows exactly what she is doing. It's adorable! I bet she is going to be a computer whiz like her daddy! Brielle must have been pooped from shopping because she slept 12 hours Friday night.
Saturday we went to Mt. Vernon to watch Nana and Paw Paw make Burgoo. Lots of Burgoo.
It must have been a pretty rough day because she slept 11 hours Saturday night.
Sunday we got up early, went to walmart, then to church, then met Marty, Ashley, and Zoey for lunch at Logan's. Good times! Zoey slept right through it.. :-( Later in the afternoon Maw Maw stopped by for a little bit to visit on her way home from Michigan.
We've had a very busy extended weekend. I guess it's time to get back to the normal schedule for a few more weeks.
Brielle has figured out how to blow spit bubbles and it's so funny to watch her concentrate to do it. What a silly girl.
Hope everyone had a nice Turkey Day.
I guess that is all for now.
A busy 2 weeks
The last two weeks have been very busy! Brielle has discovered she can get up on her knees and rock back and forth. It won't be long and she'll be on the go! She has also learned how to pant like a puppy doggie and she thinks that is just the coolest thing. Her fake little "attention cough" is still lingering. She has decided that she likes to clap her hands and just giggle. When she gets excited I cannot help but laugh at her while she pants like a puppie doggie, claps her hands, giggles, and blows snot bubbles. Between school, x-mas shopping, and visiting family, we have had a very busy 2 weeks.
We cannot wait for the holidays. She got to see it snow for the first time this past week and also made a christmas ornament at school. She even brought mommy home a picture of her finger painting at school. She was so engrossed in her painting. Mommy's little artist. We also celebrated great g-ma Kramer's birthday and Brielle made a card for her. Mommy celebrated her 26th birthday too and got lots of goodies. Brielle enjoyed mashed potatoes at mommy's party and also some banana cream pie. Yum!
Brielle has a new obsession with ANYTHING that is Daddy's including his: Graphing Calculator, cell phone, remote, and especially his hats. She wants to be BIG sooooo bad! "Da Da" is her favorite thing to say. She has two favorite commercials that she will drop EVERYTHING when they come on. Those are the Subway $5 Footlong and The Toyota "Saved by Zero" commerical. It's hillarious!
That pretty much sums up our last two weeks.
We have posted some new pictures. Enjoy!
Fall is Here!
What an eventful week we have had. Brielle had a visit to the Dr. with a viral sore throat this week but was a lot better by Wednesday. (Neither one of us had to miss school or work this time!) On a happier note, this week she enjoyed having extended bath times, playing with her cousin Zoey, rolling and scooting ALL over the house, playing in the pretty fall leaves, wearing a winter coat for the first time, feeding herself a Mum Mum ( dissolving crackers) all by herself, playing Dance Dance Revolution with daddy, and feeding a real horse.
She is just a delight to be around. She is so full of smiles and personality.
Daddy took her toy exploring Saturday, while mommy took a test for school. We wanted to get an idea of what she would be excited about for Christmas. Daddy found one toy that she was just crazy about. In fact, he was so excited about it that we had to go back to the store today to buy it. It was a Kitty piano. She absolutely just lights up when she plays with it. I'm not sure we can wait until Christmas to let her have it! It's so cool to see her get excited over the littlest things.
She said "Bye Bye" and waved 2 times in a row this week. We couldn't believe our eyes the first time she did it, then she did it again and I think we were still in shock. Needless to say she hasn't done it again. She's pretty good at making liars out of Mommy and Daddy.
That's about it for this week. Enjoy the pictures.
Halloween
Brielle enjoyed her first Halloween. She sure had a busy day. From her Halloween party and parade at school, to trick or treating at mommy's work, and visiting family, she was pretty worn out. She received 3 of her VERY own Halloween cards, which she just loved chewing on! One from Nana and Paw Paw, one from MiMi, and one from Ms. Brittany. (Her first caregiver at daycare.) She also received lots of nice goodies too like new pj's, teething biscuits, Gerber Stars, baby food, a Halloween book, A Kids Coupon Treat book, (Mommy might have to use the Culver's coupon for herself! REAL soon) a stuffed kitty, diaper coupons, money, and lots of priceless hugs and kisses....Thank you to everyone who made her first Halloween so special.
A Day at The Zoo
Brielle was finally feeling better on Sunday so we decided to take her to the Zoo. We have taken her many times since she was born but we thought she would enjoy it more now since she was a little older. We were hoping she wouldn't "sleep" through the zoo this time. She absolutely loved being outside and watching all the animals. We could not believe how intrigued she was with the petting zoo and the goats. We definately have a nature lover on our hands! She was mesmerized by those goats. She laughed out loud and just cackled at them---she even spit at them a few times. We enjoyed her reaction so much. It was a win win situation! This trip to the zoo made the past week not so bad after-all. Finally our baby girl was enjoying life again! After our trip to the zoo, Brielle and I were exhausted and daddy snuck a picture of us snoozing. He said we looked so much alike he just couldn't pass up the opportunity! Ahhh...I love him!
Happy Day!
Today was a much better day! Brielle was back to feeling better. She received a special treat today too. Her first piece of mail! Her MiMi sent her a Halloween treat in the mail. She absolutely loved it! I wasn't joking when I said she loves to get mail. I do not know what her fascination is with mail but her eyes just light up when she gets to open it! Sorry MiMi the card was not salvagable so I had to take a picture of it. The card was pretty soggy and the envelope didn't have writing on it anymore, only black smudges! She was one happy little girl..... She had a BIG day today. She sat in a highchair for the first time without any support at a restaurant and ate. She also went shopping in her stroller WITHOUT her carrier. She's growing up!
I had to change her clothes twice this morning when we got ready for the day because the first outfit I attempted to put on her was 6-9 months and it was 3/4th length sleeves and pretty much shorts on her. So this winter could be quite interesting. We are going to have to go with 2 piece outfits!Zoey better grow faster because Brielle is going to have lots of clothes to give her at this rate! I've posted a couple pictures of Brielle exploring her first piece of mail. Take a look!
What a Week!
Whaaaaaaa. That is all I have to say about the past week. Brielle and I have shared everything this past week like checking out the pumpkin farm, smiles, giggles, lots of poopy diapers, uncontrollable screams, lots of vomit, several loads of extremely soiled laundry, endless naps, sleepless nights, bathtime in the middle of the day, early morning, even late at night, and extra special hugs and cuddles. What a nasty virus-Neither one of us have been to school or work at all this week. It's official, Brielle is sick for the first time. Not too bad considering she is 6 1/2 months old. She's got it pretty bad. Hopefully she is about through it. She's so clingy---I love that part. Normally she is Miss Independent. We are hanging in there together... I have discovered she loves helping mommy watch her powerpoint presentations for school on the computer and is eager to use a pencil. Of course she has to help mommy open the mail too...She's pretty good at taking care of "junk mail!" Until next week. Toodles!

Resignation Letter..
Wouldn’t this be great? You get a call that you need to go clean out Aunt Martha’s storage garage
because she died…. and bring a trailer. Sounds like a pain in the rear and then…… scroll down…
Dear Boss:
I'm resigning effective immediately!
The reason for my resignation is that I cleaned my aunt's garage this morning before coming to work and realized I don't feel like working anymore..
See for yourself...

I love all the pictures but I love holding and playing with Brielle more. Can't wait to be in the same room with Brielle and Zoeyand see how they interact. I hope they will be BFF when they grow up. Love you guys.

What a great idea! I love it. I will so have to do this once we move. I can't believe she is already 6 months old. Amelia still refers to the "baby's street" every time we leave the subdivision. I know we don't get to see each other very often, but I am sure going to miss knowing you all are right around the corner. :-(
