Today was fun; I usually don't do too much personal rambling but tonight I have too. Last night, Micah Kranz, Mykel Larrin and John Rodgers all made the drive down from Milwaukee, Wisconsin through some gnarly snow storm, while towing a huge trailer hitch carrying a portable box jump behind them. In 1968 Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard and friend Doug Tompkins' set out on a 5,000-mile trek that led them from Ventura, Calif., down the coast (and up the mountains) of South America to Chile, and eventually Patagonia. The rest, as they say, is history.

Simpel Session 2010
This coming weekend some of the best skaters in the world ate taking it to Tallinn, Estonia. Yeah, you read that right. Ryan Sheckler, Tom Penny, Chris Pfanner, Danny Wainright, Kurtis Colamonico, Johnny Layton and a whole grip of European rippers will be touching down north of Latvia and just south of Finland for one serious contest. The 10th annual Simpel Session comp is sure to be a doozy.

Simpel Session 10 finals just wrapped up a few hours ago, and the big winner of the weekend was DK's Drew Bezanson, followed by DK team mate Brett Banasiewicz in second and U.K. rider Ben Wallace in third. Winning best trick for the weekend was Federal's Dan Lacey, who pulled a perfect toothpick hangover to 360 out. We'll have a full report with updated photos tomorrow, but for now, check the Ride BMX video below, along with the top ten results.

Pro Bump Shoe News


Shoe bump news for two former flow/now pro guys. First up is Jake Seeley, who got the bump up to the DuFFS pro team after being on flow the past few months. Here's the word from DuFFs: "We've been stoked on Jake's riding for a while. He's super technical and creative. Always looking for something different to do, Jake keeps it fun." Look for Jake to be rocking DuFFS and hopefully getting out there on some DuFFS trips in the near future.

Freeskiing World Tour Telluride results
Telluride, CO --Today, January 5, 2010, the Telluride stop of the Subaru Freeskiing World Tour, marked not only an important qualifying day of the Tour, but was a historical day for the FWT; record amounts of big mountain bombers from all corners of the U.S.-- as well some athlete's from Australia, New Zealand and Canada -- trekked to Telluride to show the world just what they can do. Over 130 people showed up at yesterday's registration, hoping to squeeze into the already full Qualifier.
