I went with a simple edit using PSE9:

1. Opened JPEG as Camera Raw.  Adjusted sliders to my liking.
2. Sharpened the adorable girl to bring her face more into focus.
3. Added a hue adjustments layer, desaturated the greens.
4. Ran DPM-Oh the Dram Action.

This Nuthatcher was performing some kind of ritual, whether mating or cleaning, I'm not sure, but it was interesting to watch. So I captured it and posted this collage to tell the story.

Well, after poking around, and asking around, I did find out that this bird was not performing but collecting ants!
