3 Boulder Lane - our family's home on Cape Cod - capecodhome

Welcome

We are thrilled to be able to share photos of our house in South Orleans, Massachusetts with you.  We have owned the house at 3 Boulder Lane since the summer of 2001 and we have spent many wonderful days enjoying the house and all the recreational activities in the surrounding area.
Things we love to do on the Cape:  1) Visiting the pristine, untainted, vast Nauset Beach (which fronts the Atlantic Ocean) and leaping in its waves while watching the seals swim by 2) Gathering hermit crabs and other treasures as the tides change at Skaket Beach (on Cape Cod Bay). 3) Swimming in fresh water lakes 4) Renting bikes to travel on the Cape Cod Rail Trail 5)Going to baseball games and watch our local Cape Cod Baseball League team (the Orleans Cardinals) play FOR FREE!!!  6) Eating lobster 7) Going to batting cages 8) Goofing around on bumper boats 9) Playing miniature golf 10) Hiking in nature preserves 11) Kayaking in tidal waters 12) Taking day trips to Providence, RI and Boston, MA as well as Plymouth Plantation (a living history museum with re-enactors from the original pilgrim settlement) 13) Counting the whales we can see on a sightseeing cruise; and so much more!
When we're tired after a busy day (or if we just need a break from all the activity), we love having the whole house to ourselves... it's not a stuffy hotel, it's a home with 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, a full kitchen, a wide-open playroom, and lots of space for us to play games, have cocktails, and let the kids spread out and do their thing. Our lot is heavily wooded and offers a nice, shady break after a sun-drenched day at the beach. There's a dock on the pond behind the house, and we love to check out the lilypads, bullfrogs, and dragonflies as we wait for dinner to be ready.  After dinner, head out for ice cream or a window-shopping walk along the charming streets of Chatham.

Getting There

3 Boulder Lane is 90 miles from both Logan International Airport (BOS) and from TF Green Airport (PVD) in Providence, RI.  Direct flights are available to/from Boston, and a day or two in Boston on either end of your trip would be delightful. However, Southwest Airlines will take you to Providence, and the drive to the Cape in a rental car from there is very easy.
