Who are Water Warriors

Water Warriors is a group of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students from Crosscreek Charter School. These students have adopted a school, Kebeneti Primary School, in Kenya Africa. They are raising money to help the school build a well as well as promoting awareness for global water issues.

Why Get Involved?

Helping Water Warriors will allow us to give Kebeneti Primary School in Kenya a clean water source that is local. The benefits of not only include access to clean water, but it also allows students to spend more time in school. As it is, the girls must walk at least three miles across rugged terrain to find water at the nearest river. This river is filled with waste and bacteria from humans as well as animals and is not safe to drink. Also, because the girls have to leave school to get the water they miss precious time in the classroom. Education is key for these children in this region. Please help us change their lives.

Come Run at Night and Save a Life

We are hosting a 5K run through Louisburg, NC in order to raise money for these students. Our race will be at night because the girls leave to go get water early in the morning. We would like our race to parallel their journey.

One gallon of water weighs 8 pounds. Walking with jugs of water represented the children in Kenya walking daily and carrying heavy weights of water.
