Guys - We'll try and use this site to keep information (i.e. pictures, meetings, etc.) up to date. Anyone can comment on the site and if you have any pictures you want posted, just email them to me and I will put them on the site. I'll try and keep any meetings and group dates on the calendar on the right side of the page. Make sure to select "view all" to see all of the pictures...they don't all show up on the front page.
The FOW League will be meeting this weekend at the Game Room. We will be playing in teams, 600 point armies. Small games, should only take a couple hours. Come play!
Many things have been happening in 2010!
1 - We started a friendly FOW league at the Game Room in Washington. We meet every other Saturday...next meeting is Saturday June 19th. We have some extra armies for those who don't yet have any. Come and play!
2 - Allied Breakout 2010
This year's Allied Breakout 2 was a success with over 20 people showing up to help/play on Friday and Saturday (June 4th/5th). We ran 4 different games, starting with the beach landings and paratrooper drop, moving to the hedgerow battle of St. Laurent Sur Mer, and finishing with battles within the city of Carentan and outside of the city. Gaming Friday night also included a hedgerow game put on by James Lemon using his own gaming rules - Compf Group. Scott Curry wrote up a battle report, which is available just below this post.
3 - Bayou Wars
The DDay board made its way down to Biloxi and New Orleans this month to Bayou Wars. We had a great time with two days of gaming. On the second day of gaming we saw the central torbruk be destroyed by Naval fire on turn 4 and the double embrasure pillbox and anti-tank turrett destroyed a few turns later. Bad day for bunkers!
