The AREA C Conference, hosted by Los Cerritos District at the beautiful Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse, is a Philanthropy Fair designed to give our members an opportunity to speak with various organizations (501c3) to get new project ideas. You’ll have plenty of time to visit the wide variety of Philanthropy Tables, which open at 9:00am. If you arrive early, you can enjoy a Continental Breakfast while gaining project ideas.
This year, we’ve chosen to support Foster Children Resource Project. Please visit their website link (to the right) for more information.
Each of the Districts in Area C have chosen to support this project and are requesting their members to donate specific items that are in need:
San Gabriel Valley District: Backpacks and/or School Supplies, All Ages
Los Cerritos District: Toddler Clothing, Ages 2-4 Years
Sierra Cahuenga District: Toiletries for Children & Teens, All Ages
Marina District: T-Shirts & Outerwear Pants, Ages 0 – 8 Years
Please support this wonderful project by bringing your items to this year’s Conference. If you have any questions, feel free to contact your District President or Chairman.
Our Keynote Speaker, Kim Mitchell, will enlighten us with:
Staring Down a Squirrel
Miss Mitchell thinks of herself as a renaissance woman. She travels and speaks internationally, sings, and is an adjunct professor at UCLA. As contributing author to Inspiration to Realization Volume II, her chapter is entitled, "Living Your Soul Print". Miss Mitchell has visited many countries including England where she studied drama and Shakespearian literature at Oxford University.
Drawing on her extensive background in theater, filmmaking, teaching and writing, her presentations unleash the creativity that comes from using both sides of your brain together. The result? Her audiences feel more connected to their community and each other, free to express themselves as creative beings able to solve any problem.
The Conference CALL & Forms have been mailed to each of the AREA C Club Presidents and is also available below & on the Download Page, as well as, our website @ cfwc.org. Club Presidents, Deans, and Membership Officers & Chairmen are encouraged to attend along with members.
