Rave reviews of past shows
Of 'Les Miserables' 2009...
"In many respects - to their credit - the enthralling conviction which Trinity School's 2009 pupils brought to their vigorous re-enactment of Victor Hugo (1862) adaption was barely distinguishable from the work of professionals.
Theatregoers who miss it will be letting a rare entertainment treat slip them by."
Howard Smith Wairarapa Times Age.
Of 'Twelfth Night or Whatever' 2010...
'Rathkeale College has proven over the last few years of being able to put on top-notch shows and this one looks like this will be another not to be missed.'
Piers Fuller: Wairarapa News 16/6/10
'Once again Rathkeale has shown that they have the depth of talent and the ability to get skilled directors that can put on a first rate production worthy of any amateur troupe.'
Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival 2011
The Rathkeale/St Matthew's casts of the 15 minute and 5 minute scenes scooped the pool winning both sections. The 15 minute scene from 'Hamlet' was directed by Mrs Joanne Simpson, the 5 minute scene from 'As You Like It' was directed by Stevie Hancox-Monk.
The cast went onto scoop five awards at the National Festival with awards going to Ben Emerson, Elese Berthold, Hugh Morrison-Thomas, Michael Pearson and James Winstanley.
