Message from David Evans, 26-07-10

I am just dropping you a line to apologise for not making it to the meeting tonight at Iguana bar. I had intended to be there, but my car suffered a flat battery after my last meeting at 6 pm (it is an electric hybrid ironically). Please pass on my apologies to the rest of the group if you get chance.

I am away for 2 weeks from tomorrow but would like to come along to the next meeting, if you let me know when it is.

I would also like to invite the group to have a look at the 3 houses we built on Stockton Road, Chorlton - they achieved level 3 Code for Sustainable Homes and won a number of other awards.

We are currently researching and developing a lodge/holiday dwelling built form SIPs (structural insulated panels) which will achieve level 4 CFSH. This technology is incredibly efficient and also good for using on extensions; loft conversions and the like.

Our first prototype is being built later this Autumn on Anglesey and some of the group members may be interested to learn more about SIPs and their uses. Let me know if this is of interest.

Great to find a group dedicated to this subject in Chorlton.
David Evans: I noticed your flats on Stockton Road the other day from the back where I could see the Solar thermal arrays. I was wondering what was going on there so very interested to hear they are CSH3. I'd really like to have a look at some point if the offer still stands.
