Happy New Year!

A lot has happened since we last updated my website. We spent time in Northen California over Thanksgiving visiting my Great Grandfather's side of the family. While there I saw lots of cousins, aunts and some of Mommy's friends. Aunt Viv and Grandma Lynda were there too. We hung out with Matt and Patty (from mommy's college days) and their sons Silas and Lou. And we had dinner with Christy who went to medical school with mom. We saw the Golden Gate Bridge, Redwood trees, Fishermans Warf and spent time in Sausalito.

The first weekend in December, we spent a few days in Asheville, NC. Grandma Lynda, Jenny and her friend Chris joined us there. Before we headed home from the mountains, we stopped off at a local tree farm and cut down our more than 10ft Christmas tree. Chris helped dad get it into the house. Once it was set up, we discovered a birds nest inside that Dad had to remove.

My first Christmas was great! There was still snow on the ground from my very first North Carolina snow storm. I spend Christmas Eve with the Tesseneers while mommy was at work. Christmas Day was just Mom, Dad and me. I got tons of books, clothes and toys from friends and family.

We spent New Years at Matt and Sandra's house with Brinn, Lauren and Elliot, Shirley and Jason, their dog and Aunt Cristin who was in town visiting. We ate, played games and watched the ball drop.

Now we are well into the New Year. My newest activities are...Eating solid foods, sitting up on my own and learning to swim. I hope you enjoy all the new pictures.

More Fall Fun

The last few weeks, I have been having so much fun. I went to visit Aunt Cristin in VA and we went apple picking. It was a dreary day, but the rain held off until we were finished. You can tell by the pics that it wore me out. Camille and Torri got to be my first baby sitters while mom was working and dad was away at a meeting. Then Tia Fernanda came over to visit. I also had a blast on Halloween giving out candy with Rochelle. She and daddy were very silly that night as you can tell by the pictures.

Happy Fall!

Can you believe I will be 4 months old next week? I am continuing to meet my milestones. Today I rolled over for the first time! Mommy put me down on my belly to go do something and when she came back I was laying on my back. She's never seen me do that trick before, but I plan on doing it many more times. I have been cooing and babbling quite a bit. And continuing to giggle at all the silly faces and sounds that daddy, mommy and everyone else makes at me.

Last weekend we went to a fall festival and I got to wear my Halloween costume. Mom dressed my as a chili pepper. While I was at the festival, I met Guilford the Grasshopper (our minor league baseball mascot), I had my picture taken by a professional photographer who thought I was so cute she put me on her website. You can check me out here... http://pbandjphotography.net/local_organizations. Earlier this month Mommy and Aunt Jenny took me to do my first 5k race for Breast Cancer Awareness month. There were nearly 3,000 women there and the money raised goes towards the mammography scholarship fund at the local hospital.

Growing...Growing...Growing!!!

Yesterday I saw my doctor and weighed 13 lbs 14 oz...Wow and was 23.5 inches long. Mommy makes some GOOOOD Milk! I also had to get a bunch of shots. It hurt a liitle and I only cried for a few seconds. Daddy didn't go to the doctor with me cause he doesn't like needles. The last few weeks I have started to smile more and do lots of cooing. Mommy and I have "conversations" several times a day. Enjoy the new pictures

nearly 8 weeks

I have been having a great time these first 8 weeks of life. I was 11lbs 7oz at my last doctor's visit when I was 5 weeks and 4days old. And have had plenty more "firsts" as expected. The most exciting was my first trip on an airplane with my mommy to see Grandma Lynda in AZ. I met lots of people there including my Great Aunt Betty Sue and Great Uncle Bob. Uncle Bob can't wait til I get a little bit older so he can teach me how to golf. He taught mommy when she was 13 years old. Mommy said I did "great" on the airplane. I didn't cry and everyone thought I was cute. The only near disaster we had was when I had a big accident in my pants and on mommy's lap at 35,000 feet. I also had a chance to go to Seagrove, NC last month where there a a lot of people that do pottery. Mommy's friend, Jennifer, has an Uncle Sid who was having a kiln opening party and we went to check it out. You can see his webiste at www.lucksware.com. Jennifer's son, Caleb was there and he got to jump in the bouncy toy. I'm still too little, but it looked like fun. That's all for now.

4 weeks old

Today I am 4 weeks old. Things I have accomplished so far...

-I've met many people who are friends of mommy and daddy. They all seem pretty cool. I look forward to spending more time with them as I grow.

-When I was 2 weeks old I spent a weekend in Wilmington, NC with mom and dad, both my grandmothers and my grandfather. We even went to the beach and saw a shark in the ocean while we were there. The lifeguard made everyone get out of the water just in case the shark was hungry.

-My umbilical cord stump fell off when I was 2.5 weeks while daddy was changing my diaper...It freaked him out a bit. Mom had to come and get rid of it.

-I had my first real bath. I liked it much better than the sponge baths I was getting. It felt like what I imagine going to the spa would be like.

-I got to take my dog Lexi for a walk for the first time in my new jogging stroller this week. We've been for walks in the the neighborhood 3 times. Yesterday I got to spend time walking in the park with one of mommies friends.

-Mom says I smile and laugh in my sleep. I wouldn't believe until I saw a picture.
