Clan Chism - clanchism

So after checking out my friend Tammy's blog page, I've finally realized that I have been going at this blog page all wrong, and that I should be spilling all the dirt on my family for everyone's enjoyment! I've got to hand it to her, it makes for excelent reading! Though I don't have four boys that create lots of disturbing messes, I do have two little girls that create lots of drama! Ahh the joys of girls! Though after seeing little boys run around hitting each other and play shooting people and all those wonderful things that come along with their pre-testosteroned bodies, I am very glad I have girls. THey are whinning, and will cry at the drop of a hat if they think it will help them get their way, or get out of trouble, but I can deal with that so much better than bloody and beat up children! I firmly believe that certain people are meant to have boys and others meant to have girls.

Tammy told me a few days ago that one of her little men said she was old. How old they think she is, who knows, but it got me thinking back to when Elorna was in Kindergarten and for Mother's Day she made a cute little book about me. I remembered that a few days before I got the book from her we were driving to drop Kaitlyn off at preschool and she asked "Mama, how old are you?" "Older than you." I said with a laugh. "How much do you weigh?" this, I was not as silly about, so I did the smart thing, the thing most parents or at least mother's would do in this situation, I turned it back on her. "How much do you think I weigh?" I asked her. "Ahh, I don't know." She giggled. "Well then I guess you don't need to." I replied. I got the book a few days later. My age-18, my weight-8 pounds. My little girl is amazing at guessing! What a star!

Tammy said she was positive that her boys would not be quite as kind. That may be true. Kaitlyn on the other hand has taken after her older sister and told me a few weeks ago that I look 6, 7 tops. Must be some great anti-aging cream I'm using ladies.

The girls and I just got back from our trip to Washington to visit with Tracie and her parents. We had so much fun, shopping and swimming. What more could us girls want! the pictures are below. Too tan? I think so! I really don't believe sunblock works for me. I can't wait till we can get back up there and visit some more...or maybe even get Tracie to visit us!

Our vacation was over way too fast! We did so many things, and saw so many of our family and friends. We visited with my friend Tammy first, in We saw her new baby boy. Big E got to hold him, and didn't want to give him back. I don't blame her; he was just a little sweetheart!

Then we finally made it down to my folk’s new home. It's even more amazing than I thought it would be! They had put up a really cool tire swing. It looked like a fourth of July pony. The girls couldn’t get enough of it! On Monday it was time to leave the , and head down to the Bay Area.

We spent some time with our friends in the , and their four little ones. We had never seen the twins before and they did not disappoint! Big E, again held the babies and so did Little K. They had a ball, and it was nice to finally see them! Then it was on to our hotel. The girls love sleeping in hotels because they get to sleep in the same bed, even though I’m scared to death they’ll smother each other!

I visited with my friends, Matt & Stephanie, and their new little bundle. She was only 2 weeks old! This trip was the baby trip for sure! I held her for hours. She was so beautiful and tiny. I can’t remember if my girls were ever that small!

The next day we were off to Pacifica & San Francisco. We took the girls to my old elementary school in , and to the best bakery in the whole world! In we went to the wharf and got fairy stamped at the fairy store. We went on the double decker carousel. Then we enjoyed Pier Market, and their amazing fish and chips. The weather was nice and cool, what a nice change from the 105 we had up in ! The girls were actually cold!

We had to go back to the HOT weather in on Wednesday, but the girls got time with G-ma, so it was a very nice time for them, and I got a little time with my mom and sister too. So good times all around! Too bad the weather was so darn hot! Poor Little K, my MP3 player died up there so she couldn’t listen to her beloved Donovan. She did good though!

Friday we all traveled up to for their annual 4^th of July Rodeo! The girls were so excited to go camping, and since they hadn’t seen my folk’s new puppy since the Sunday before, it was squeals of joy all around! Molly missed the girls so much, and just flopped down on the ground and shut her eyes and soaked it up! The girls had to point out every horse, and cowboy. I still have no idea what one they were more excited to see!

On the way back home, we got to see Tammy and all her boys again. We also got to see her sister and her girls. It was a nice break from the long drive!

Now we’re back home, and I am way more tired than I was before we left! How does that happen?

 

Five more days till Mom comes up for the big vacation. Too bad Jack can't come, but he's got to stay here and finish up some business. Wow that sounded very gangster! Anyway, we'll have fun and take lots of pictures!

Okay folks! Our California countdown has started. We're on day 21 in our countdown. The girls are so excited and love to cross off the days on their vacation calender. We have big plans for our trip, mainly visiting with family and friends, and meeting a few new members of the family, Molly and Twiggy! I'll be adding some adorable pictures of them soon! Also, many of our friends have had babies since our last trip and we cant' wait to see them all, Ava, Adain, Miles, and soon baby Kaitlyn! Of course San Francisco will be on the stop. It wouldn't a vacation without that amazing city!

Too funny

This was out in front of a surf shop the girls just had to go into. I tried to get Jack to pose with it, but he wouldn't, he said it clearly stated that is was for dogs only and he wouldn't be a law breaker!
