Cleveland PRIDE Basketball is part of the Greater Cleveland Athletic Association (GCAA) 501(c)3, non-profit, all volunteer organization that has been operating for over 25 years, and is led by volunteer parents and coaches devoted to providing boys and girls with and opportunity to develop basketball skills in a positive, competitive team environment. Our mission is to teach young athletes to play basketball at a highly competitive level and use the medium of basketball to achieve character development, physical and mental fitness, and learn teamwork and leadership skills that will help these young athletes to become successful in life.
We do this through the Cleveland PRIDE Basketball AAU/USSSA program. We believe in giving our athletes a firm foundation in the many individual skills required to be a strong basketball player. Equally important, our volunteer coaches teach their players to use these skills effectively as a team. While our goal is to field teams that can compete at the regional and national level, we also field developmental teams. Most importantly, players at every level consistently demonstrate continued improvement over time.
Parents play a significant role in the PRIDE organization. We encourage open communication between parents and coaches, to help ensure that concerns about their child are appropriately addressed. Parents make a vital contribution to maintaining and improving our organization. We also understand that parents have many demands on their time and energy. However, we also like to ask our parents and players to support fundraising events and activities. We would like to thank our coaches, GCAA, and our wonderful team parents for their hard work and dedication!!!
This is the central place of communication for our team this season. On this site, you'll find the team roster and parent contact information, schedule for the season, snack schedule, and player availability. You'll also be able to post pictures and videos to share with other parents.
We are looking for dedicated parent volunteers, men and women, to join our organization to coach basketball and volunteer in different areas within the program. We are growing each year and there is a need for more help. If you are interested, please contact Jimmie or Michele Sanders.
