Welcome to my photo journal of my life. Here you will find a view into my happy and adventureous life I share with Ronnie, our family and friends. I take pictures for fun and as a hobby and on occasion for a few extra dollars. I'm always finding something interesting and trying to capture it in a eye catching way while saving memories for those who will one day want to take a look back at how this all started. I hope you enjoy.
2013 got started with a cold, wet winter. Lots of rain and dreary winter weather. Not productive for Kodak moments, but things are starting to sprout, turn green and bloom in color. I see the camera shutter ready for clicking soon. Ronnie and I are getting back to work on the house with hopes to be able to move in by summer. I have to get some updated photos to add here.
Racing season has started and that has provided a number of photo opportunities. I have also been taking classes to learn more about the technical side of it and get the photo my "eye" sees in my mind. I've also joined a photography club and that has been a lot of fun for me. A couple of "field trips" with live instruction. Lots of fun and learned a bunch.
Work has kept us both busy, so not much traveling right now. Maybe we will take a weekend soon and head to the coast for a day or two. We are both in need of a "Salt Air and Sand" fix.
Come on Spring time!!! I'm ready for some green and colors.
2012 was a busy year. We spent most of our weekends together building our new home. We our doing this ourselves. It has been and continues to be an amazing journey for me. I learn something new each weekend and also manage to do things I never dreamed I'd be able to do. I've built and set walls, mesaured and cut lumber, set floor joist, made door headers and even window location decision. We didn't do a lot of traveling since we were busy building. However, did slip in a few trips here and there. A couple of trips to Charleston, day trips to Asheville and the NC Mountains to see some snow, and the joint birthday trip to Ocracoke Island and the Outbanks of NC. I managed to have the all five children and families together for Christmas, my biggest holiday wish. Everyone enjoyed it and realized we need to gather more often as a family. 2013 is off to a fantastic start with the birth of grandbaby number seven, Logan Ray. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year bring for our family. Stay tuned!
