Laundry Day for Cozy!
Washer
This is my washer. Left is wash, right is spin. Knobs are timer, cycle, timer. It is in the kitchen.
Step 1
Turn on the faucet (on right) and fill washer.
Step 2
Add detergent. They sell Tide here! Other brands can give you a rash, so we stick with ones we know.
Step 3
Put in clothes.
Step 4
Set right knob to what I hope says "Wash", set left knob to 12 minutes. Wait 12 minutes.
Step 5
After 12 minutes, switch knob to what I guess says "Drain".

Make sure the drain tube is actually going into the drain. I missed this step (see puddle on floor).

Mop up floor.

Because floor is now wet, put on house shoes to wear only the kitchen to not track water everywhere.

Refill the washer with the faucet and tube.
Step 7
Pour in fabric softener (or else the clothes will be almost unbearably stiff by the end).

Set to "Rinse" (I think) for 12 minutes. Wait 12 minutes.

While waiting 12 minutes, remove wet kitchen shoes to lay down on the couch.
Step 9
After 12 minutes, get up from couch. Set dial to "Drain" (?). The hose is in the drain this time.
Step 10
Remove wet clothes from left side and put them into the spinner.
Step 11
Put spinner cap on top of clothes. I have no idea why.
Step 12
Set spin dial to 3 minutes. Wait 3 minutes.

If the clothes aren't evenly distributed in the spinner the washer will walk away. Move washer back.
Step 13
When clothes are not dripping wet, remove them from the spinner.
Step 14
If there is no clothes wire already, rig one up outside the window.
Step 15
Put everything on hangers. Underwear, socks, etc. go on a hanging thing with clips (see right).
Step 16
Hang clothes on line. Wait a few hours (in the daytime here, they dry very quickly).
Step 17
Take clothes off hangers, fold, and place them in the wardrobe. Ta da! *Phew!*
