1 In light of all this, here's what I want you to do. While I'm locked up here, a prisoner for the Master, I want you to get out there and walk - better yet, run! - on the road God called you to travel. I don't want any of you sitting around on your hands. I don't want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere. 2 And mark that you do this with humility and discipline - not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love, 3 alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences. 4 You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. 5 You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness. 7 But that doesn't mean you should all look and speak and act the same. Out of the generosity of Christ, each of us is given his own gift. 8 The text for this is, He climbed the high mountain, He captured the enemy and seized the booty, He handed it all out in gifts to the people. 9 It's true, is it not, that the One who climbed up also climbed down, down to the valley of earth? 10 And the One who climbed down is the One who climbed back up, up to highest heaven. He handed out gifts above and below, filled heaven with his gifts, 11 filled earth with his gifts. He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher 12 to train Christians in skilled servant work, working within Christ's body, the church, 13 until we're all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God's Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ. (Ephesians 4:1-13, The Message)

LET’S TALK:

To our loyal daily devotion readers: If your not aware of it, God has shown me these daily devotions are to be made into a book by the name, “A Daily Walk Through My Father’s Vineyard”. Cool huh?

You can take part in this endeavor. Cool Huh? I’ve put my e-mail address at the top of every day’s devotion and if God touches your heart with something you have read, e-mail me! I promise that if I use what God has laid on your heart you will get the credit.

Friends remember God wants to speak into you lives as much as mine; sometimes maybe even more, and this will help tune your ears to the Father’s voice. I have the blessings of our pastors and they have promised to write the forwards for the book. Cool Huh!

Abba Father, use us Your children in any way You see fit. We are open and stand ready. Thank-You Father God. Amen!

(14) This signet from God is the first installment on what's coming, a reminder that we'll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life. (15) That's why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the Christians, (16) I couldn't stop thanking God for you - every time I prayed, I'd think of you and give thanks. (17) But I do more than thank. I ask - ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory - to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, (18) your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians, (19) oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him - endless energy, boundless strength! (20) All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, (21) in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. (22) He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. (23) The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ's body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence. (Eph. 1:14-23, The Message)

LET’S TALK:

What’s coming

? Friends, it’s true that God has planned a life of praise and glory for our lives! God definitively wants the best of everything He has created to make up our lives. It’s also true, for those who put their trust in Jesus the Christ, to have a clear focus and eyes wide open.

We can see this world spinning out of our control in a bash to madness. Everything from governments to galaxies following no rules at all. Brothers and sisters we need not to forget, for a moment, that our Father in Heaven still has His finger on the pulse of everything, and everything is under His control.

Christians, true Christians have no need for fear, only trust. No matter what happens in this world, God is in control. Fear, my friends, is of the devil; have no part in that! Stay focused on the Eastern Sky.

Abba Father, today we put all our trust in You. AMEN!
