Michael could be hard-headed, opinionated, and ornery, but he was always patient with us while we were learning to tie. Michael brought notoriety to the Dallas Fly Fishers and was easily the best and most versatile tier.

It seemed that every time we saw Michael tying, there was Gracie. Gracie Liu was a very independent lady, a world traveler, with a mind of her own. Gracie was one of the most artful fly tiers; her flies looked alive. Gracie was also a more than capable fly fisher.
