We have 2 awesome black and white stallions, that just are not pretty, but have great performance bloodlines. Their babies are performers!! They were bred to spin, slide , turn on a dime: . they love to work cattle, it comes from their bloodlines. Our senior stallion, Strait Spurs, above left: is an own son of the awesome legendary "STRAIT FROM TEXAS who has won over 2000 APHA points and many APHA world championships in calf roping, heading, heeling, reining,and steer stopping. His babies are doing well in reining futuritys , barrel racing, and other speed events. Strait Spurs has the black gene which means he can never throw a sorrel horse.

Our junior stallion, Straitsmokin Catalena,above middle, is an own son of the great Strait Gunsmokensugar, who is the 1st colored son of Strait From Texas, He has a lifetime earnings of $53000. He has several APHA world championship in APHA, has the title of top performance horse at the 2005 APHA world show. HE HAS OVER 800 APHA reining, heeling, heading, tie down roping,steer stopping and working cowhorse,as well as many championships in the NRCHA.

Straitsmokin Catalenas 2nd baby crop was born in 2008. Smokey will start his showing career in 2009.

The black mare, top right, has 2 Grand Championships in SESDHSA in speed poles and Barrels for 2008 show season. She also has 3 reserve championships in poles,speed barrels and singe barrel. She also got a third place for the year in the keyhole race. Her name is "Straits Nick at Nite" she is a five year old. Her Sire is Strait Spurs.

Several of Strait Spurs foals are in reining training, and doing excellent. Our foals have proved to be VERY user friendly and Very easy to train and work with.
