Aloha and Welcome!

The purpose of this site is to provide a place for my map of a disc golf object course(no baskets) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. This course has been in existence for over 20 years. And though it has never been officially recognized by the University, locals and visitors alike have played there because of the respect and courtesy disc golfers exhibit towards the students, faculty, staff and facilities of the campus. This course has changed over the years and will continue to evolve. I encourage all newcomers to contact me at genboyer@hawaii.rr.com and please put "UH Manoa Disc Golf" in the subject line, if you are interested in playing the course. You can also join the Honolulu Disc Golf Association DISCussion board and leave messages there for a tour from any one of our many members. It is not well marked and there are certain precautions which require a local player to show you around. Never try to play during regular school hours. The best times are on Sundays (meet 9am at Varney Circle) and late evenings(best to email ahead and see what evenings we're playing). Please show patience and courtesy to all students and faculty who have the first right-of-way.

The Disc Golf Experience RIO will need at least one new student member to be its president for the 2011-2012 school year. But also we need more members. If we are to have a real course on campus, we need to show UH that there is a demand for a course with baskets. We need a petition. Salvation Army Angel Tree Fundraiser

The next HDGA event will be a fundraiser for the Salvation Army Angel Tree. It will be held on Sunday November 27th at Waimanalo Elementary, across from the Fire Station. Players meeting at 9:45am, 10am start. We are asking for a $20 donation, but will accept any amount. 100% of the proceeds will go to purchase Christmas gifts for the Elderly and children. HDGA has already pledged $100. Even if you cannot attend this event, please send a donation via a friend or write a check to Honolulu Disc Golf Association and mail it to: Gen Boyer 1635 Young St. #202, Hon., HI 96826. Help make this Christmas very special for our Kupuna and Keiki. A hui hou!

HDGA IS STILL RAISING FUNDS FOR HAWAII FOODBANK!

Anyone wishing to make a tax deductible donation to the Hawaii Foodbank will receive a custom 2012 Shave Ice Bowl mini disc. Make your checks out to the "Hawaii Foodbank", mail it to: HDGA c/o Gen Boyer 1635 Young St. #202, Hon., HI 96826, and we will mail you a mini to the return address on your envelope. HDGA will forward your check to the Foodbank. If you are uncomfortable with that, HDGA will have a Foodbank addressed envelope for you to put your donation into at our monthly events. You will receive a mini disc and all donations will be mailed after the event. Mahalo, Gen Boyer.

We will meet 3/4 of a mile in from the front gate of the park. Player's meeting 9:30am. Start time 10:00am!
If there is enough interest, we will have a random mixed doubles competition after the monthly.

Sand Island Gold Course - Sunday, May 27th, 2012 at Sand Island State Recreation Area. Click here for directions.
We will meet 3/4 of a mile in from the front gate of the park. Player's meeting 9:30am. Start time 10:00am! The Gold Course has extremely long holes including 5 par 4s and 5 par 5s (some over 1,000') and it plays at over 10,000'. The Gold Course is not recommended for beginning or recreational players.
The June HDGA Monthly will be held at Kualoa Regional Park on Saturday the 30th.
Players' meeting at 9:30am. Volunteers for setup are welcome starting at 7:30am. Bring food, beverage and sunscreen. Use Google Maps to get driving directions: "Kualoa Regional Park 49-479 Kamehameha Highway, Hawaii."
The July HDGA Monthly will be on the 29th at Waimanalo Elementary School.

The 2012 Flyin' Hawaiian Open will be held at Ho`omaluhia Botanical Garden August 24, 25 & 26th.
