My first view of the convention floor. The Michigan delegation was right near the stage. Row 6 to be exact.
Solon trying to figure out public transportation.
The Zip is something we need here in Michigan. Free and it connects you to different routes. Thank goodness for the Zip Lady on day one.
My view from the bus stop. We stood here soooo much that I had to get a pic of it.
MSNBC studios. Here is a view as we flew by in the bus.
There were vendors all over the place. HOPE for sale!
Security was like I had never seen before.
Friendly yet intimidating.
Every morning we had a delegation breakfast.
Michiganders For Obama together at breakfast.
Alice and Edna eating breakfast.

Here is where all of those people stand when they are live.
We were trying to get into the Pepsi Center on day one. With all of the security it was almost imposible. They had the entire side of the river shut down with only one way across.
The CNN Express. My favorite channel.
We had arrived. Finally!
Jamal Simmons, CNN contributor and Obama supporter.
The stage was simply amazing. The way the screens folded over onto the ceiling.
Me at the podium. Believe it or not my seat was not but 20 feet away.
Lynne and I before day one. We waited 4 hours to get started. Talk about first time delegates being over anxious.
Suzanne Malveaux, CNN.
She was nice enough to take a minute to pose and chat.
"Code Whisperers" presenting the flag for the National Anthem.
Donna Brazile, CNN.
The first shots from my seat.

While there I participated with Minnesota Public Radio on a show called In The Loop.
They came to pick me up and took me to the Colorado Public Radio Station. Here Michael Caputo and host Jeff Horwich pose for a second after the show.
You can listen to the show on this site. I'm at 9:30 and 30:00.
Michael Caputo. He found me on Facebook and was a great guy to work with.
Asra and Michael. Asra is a Facebook friend and we just happened to be participating. Small world. I'm talking in the van on the way to the studio and she says, "are you Derrick from Facebook?" Funny!
Michael Robbins, Myself, Congressman Dingell, and Lynne Schwartz at the Dingell Luncheon.
Melissa Ethridge performed while the Constitution was displayed on that wonderful stage.
Bill Clinton received a 5 minute ovation when he came out.
Everytime he tried to speak they got louder.

On our way to Invesco for the final day.
Michiganders at breakfast.
Every morning at breakfast there was a delegation meeting. On day one several Michiganders For Obama got together.
More food.
The lines were insane. 2 hour wait I heard at one point. Those delegate credentials come in very handy.
Deborah Edghill. I met her on the bus ride over. She tried to act as if she were just a housewife from Jersey that didn't know anything, but knew so much. That was one of the best parts of the convention...meeting all the new people.
Rosa Holliday, secretary of the MDP and Former Mayor of Detroit, Dennis Archer.
Patricia Scribner of Pittsfield Township.
John Legend and Will I Am perform.
Yes We Can!
If you haven't seen the video check it out on you tube.
