"Growing for You"
The multi grain bread is baked for the weekend. Saturday is a great day to get it!
Our spring season has gotten off to a great start. We are still picking strawberries and the U-Pick field is at it's peak this weekend! With the warmer temperatures approaching, you will want to pick those red ripe strawberries soon! Our homegrown lettuce has been a real hit! The romaine seems to be the most popular and once you taste the tender leaves, you will definately want more. Our harvesting of sugar snap peas has begun, along with squash, zucchini, and cucumbers.
Our St. Michaels Rd. market at Carrolls Market & Exxon opened on May 6th and is open for business every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Extended days of operation are being considered once our sweet corn and tomato harvest begins. The Sunburst Highway market on Rt 50 will open on May 28, just in time for Memorial Day! You can visit that convenient location Friday, Saturday and Sunday (and Memorial Day Momday) for our same fresh from the field goodness!
If you have not considered our newest program...Fresh from our Farm to Your Front Door, you will want to visit our website immediately (www.emilysproduce.com)! Our "Pick of the Patch" packages have been a huge success. We are delivering fresh products right to your businesses or drop of location for free!
Our 2011 Season will begin on April 28th at the Church Creek Rd. Market. We will be offering our "fresh from the field" products at our two additional satellite locations this season as well (Rt. 50 Sunburst Hwy in Cambridge, and Carrolls's Market & Exxon on St. Michaels Rd. in Easton). Lots of new products will be grown during the 2011 season; some of which include, lettuce, sweet cherries, black raspberries, blueberries, spring broccoli, beets, and more!
Thanks to our customer's at Emily's Produce, we are able to continue growing and serving the best and freshest produce around.
