Team ESF Haiti managed the evaluation and coordination of care for approximately 1000 patients from June 3-13, 2010. The team comprised of local and regional leaders which included professionals and PCOM students. The team did a fantastic job and worked well with our ESF Haitian partners at the Center for Accommodations and Health (Delmas 33) and tent city camps in Delmas 31 (Sineous and Toto). The need in Haiti is so great but this team exemplified strong leadership, quality and follow-up care. The team of 13 members resided in 1 small home and outside in tents within the tent city of Toto. A special thanks to Ysmaille Jean-Baptist, our host of translators, our tap tap drivers, Marie Joseph and Dr. Marcel and Dr. Louis for their commitment to help selflessly in Haiti. We would also like to thank AmeriCares for their donations of medications while in Haiti.
*Thanks and blessings to Sebastian, age 8 and Marvins, age 16 for traveling over 2 hours to be with our team. ESF met these two bright young people in March and we continue to take care of them and look after their well being while in the USA.
