For Thanksgiving, we went to Florida to be with Dave's family. While we were there, we were able to go to SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Tampa. We had a great time! Check out the pics from our trip. Enjoy!
With Fall, brings a schedule...and I like schedules. :) I enjoy summer because it's relaxed and we can have days with no agenda; however, I like when things get back on a schedule. For us, the fall schedule really picked up this year. I didn't realize that having a child in middle school would make my calendar fill up with events so quickly. Between youth group events, sports and school events, it seems I have become quite the chauffeur.
Dave is back to looking for a job. His job with SunTrust Bank has come to an end. He was a temp, so they were no longer in need of his services there. We knew it was a possibilty being a temp, but it's still hard. We are praying for the right job to come along that will be a great stepping stone into something greater! He decided to go back to school to receive his Bachelors in IT with an emphasis in Web Development at Kaplan University.
Like I mentioned before, Katriel is busy! She is involved in Drama Team, Puppet Team and Youth Band at church. She is playing Fall Softball. As well as additional activities for Chorus with school. She enjoys middle school a lot, and she's making new friends. She currently has straight A's in all of her classes.
Caden is the big 3 now. He's such a happy little boy! Last month, I started a home preschool with him, and he LOVES it! I've really enjoyed it too. He's so smart, and he's catching onto things very quickly. (Pics from his birthday are in the "About Caden" tab)
There's not much to report on me (Melissa). I am a preschool teacher and chauffeur. Between those two things, I stay busy! I enjoy making my lesson plans for Caden, and I love seeing the new path that Katriel is on with church and youth group.
Check out the new pics I have posted. There's a new Fall 2011 album in the "Pictures" Tab. As mentioned above, I've posted pics from Caden's Birthday party in the "About Caden" Tab.
Well it's been since the first of the year that I've written you...I've got to get better at doing it more often. Anyway, here's what has happened with our family in the last few months.
Dave graduated from culinary school. After graduating, he's done a lot of soul searching and realized that culinary was not that path that he wanted to go down. I think this means that he will be going back to school in the "computer" field. In the meantime, he is working for SunTrust Bank. He enjoys working again, and he likes the environment that he is in.
Katriel graduated from the 5th grade, and she will be entering middle school next month. Yikes!!! She also "graduated" from kids church to YOUTH!!! I don't think I was ready for that. She is still involved in sports. I think that will always be a part of her. At the beginning of July, she flew by herself to Texas to spend 10 days with her Great Aunt Janet. She truly enjoyed her experience there.
Caden has started eating!!!! Yay!!!! There's nothing that makes me happier then seeing my little boy eat. He's talking really well and he loves to learn letters and their sounds, so next month, I will be doing a preschool program here at home with him.
I've uploaded a lot of pictures as well as 2 videos. Also check out Katriel's Corner (check the link out on the right hand side) for pictures from her 5th Grade Field Trip and her Texas trip (which is also in our pictures).
Enjoy!
I hope everyone is doing well in the first couples weeks of 2011. We had a busy end to our 2010. We spent our Christmas with Dave's family in Florida. While we were there, we went to Busch Gardens and Seaworld; as well as, met with a lot of family and friends. On New Year's Eve, we opnened gifts with my parents. We brought our New Year in at church with worship and the Word. It was different then what we normally do (we normally just sit and watch the ball drop on tv), but I can't think of a better way to bring in the New Year but to start it at church. Can You? Our New Year has started off well. I am believing God for his blessings and direction for our family this year...I expect great things!!!
Oh and check out our pictures...there are 3 new albums--Florida Dec 2010, Busch Gardens and Seaworld Dec and Christmas Fun. Enjoy!
