What is Most Important to You in a Floorplan?

Split bedrooms and open living spaces

I'm looking for a floorplan with separation between the master bedroom and the other bedrooms. Our kids are a little older, and we all like some privacy. I also am attracted to floorplans where the kitchen is open to the main living area so there's a feeling of togetherness even if one of us is cooking and the other person is watching T.V. or reading.
