Our next reunion most likely will be our 50th. When we were planning our 45th reunion I was in contact with the girls from the spring 1965 class and we talked about having a joint 50th reunion. Will keep everyone posted as time gets closer. If you or any of our classmates are on FB, you can join in on the group Helen Catron set up for our class under "Balboa High School, SF - Class of Fall '64". Also when I have been in town a few of us have been getting together for lunch. Jan Phillips and myself were in town last month and we got together with, Donna Hicks, Vicki Quartini, Shirley Ruiz, Fran Marino, Linda Stagnaro. We had a great time, having lunch and talking for almost 4 hours. It is always nice to see everyone. Anyone who is interested in our lunches are more than welcome. We can put a note on this site or our FB site and whoever is interested can send a note to let us know who is coming. It would be great to see our classmates.l

We have a little less than one month and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America. If you forward this email to least 11 people and each of those people do the same ... you get the idea.
THE PROGRAM:
On Sunday, September 11th, 2011, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this tenth anniversary of one of our country's worst tragedies. We do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds
So, here's what we need you to do .
(1) Forward this email. (Please don't be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.
(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

Kenny T, Good to hear from you, man. The barbering bit didn't last very long. I kinda dropped out for a spell and never looked back. A few of us (Ron Craig, Gerry LaGrave) were spending our unemployment checks for breakfast--what was that place on Mission at Excelsior?--one morning in '71 or so and saw an ad needing school bus drivers. Got licensed up (pre-drug-testing days), and with several other "careers" sprinkled in over the years, recently retired from doing the same for a local school district. I still run a little summer whitewater photo business on the river here for play money, but am looking to hang that up soon, as well. Trying to figure a way to get my fiance' retired so we can spend summers touring on the M.C. while I can still hold the thing (bike) up. I'm fortunate enough to have my kids and grandkids (wife passed in '94) nearby and life is good. Howdy to Bill Lujan, if you see him. Wow.
Everybody else: How about we keep the political/religious stuff out of this venue? Life, as we're now able to observe, is too short to be taken seriously.

I found your Shutterfly link and had the pleasure of viewing your photos from the reunion for the first time.
Many faces look familiar and a few not so familiar but all seemed having a wonderful time re-connecting.

Read your article on the reunion,most impressive.If i would have kept my mouth shut i would have graduated with my correct class,F-64,but S-65 not
to bad.Bill Lujan and i were taking about when you were going to barber college and some of the customer's that got brought in of the street.Filo must make
all the reunion's because he was at S-65 also.I was sorry to read about Ross and Bill True among the others that passed.After doing two tours in Nam in the
Marine Corps,it real hits you harder when it happens at home.Anyway maybe i'll get to F-64 next one,maybe will here from you before.

I'd like to say that the reunion was one of the more interesting experiences I've had in some time. The slide show was a kick--thank you, Gerald. A lot of people have come and gone from all of our lives in the years since high school and though Filo is one of the few (the only?) from that era of my life that I've maintained contact with, there was a very special quality to the relationships formed in those years. I don't know about the rest of you, but other than my immediate family (kids, grandkids) there's no other group with whom I "re-unite" and it was great to see you all. I know too, that I tend not to wander far from my little niche in the world, and had several "second thoughts" about attending in May, but my only regret was that more of my chums from that part of my life didn't show. Silva, Patane, and the rest of you twits that didn't get there, if you're lucky, you'll get another shot at seeing guys like me and get a chance to thank us for improving your face value! And Willie; how come I never got recognition for all those moves I taught you??
