We started early on this day as we made our way to France. It all began innocently enough with an uneventful coach ride to Dover where we put our bus on the Ferry, taking us across the English Channel. While on the ferry, we ate lunch. There was another youth group from Scotland on board, and many of our group befriended them, even leaving them with a song.
Shortly after getting off the ferry, though, one of our coaches started having trouble. Eventually, it was repaired, but not after delaying our journey by some two hours. Attitudes were super, though, even during this delay. You've got a great group of kids! The day ended with us arriving at Bayview, a wonderful little French town in the Normandy region. It has the distinction of being the first town liberated in the D-Day Invasion effort in 1944.
