We are a U11 girls competitive team from WCCYSL. FC Alliance ("FCA") is the competitive program of WCCYSL. We have just finished our fall season of NorCal in 2nd place (by 1 point!) and we were finally able to wrap up our spring season as cross-regional champions! As a U10 team, we took FIRST PLACE in the Premier Division of NorCal league play and SECOND PLACE in Northern California in NorCal State Cup play.
In preparing for our U11 fall season, we competed in the following summer tournaments: Juventus Tournament of Champions (1st Place), Mustang Stampede (2nd Place), Davis Super Clasico (1st Place), and CSCVS Magic Cup (2nd Place). This fall, we recently won the Placer United Prestige Cup. State Cup play finished on January 28th with a tough 2-1 loss to El Dorado Sol in the championship match.
Thank you to all that continue to help support the growth and success of our team and girls! Go Storm!
We are interested in adding competitive girls to our roster. This year we will be moving from 8 to 11 players on the field. Please encourage athletic girls that you know and are interested in being on the team. For U12, player birthdays must be between 8/1/00 and 7/31/01.
For more information regarding tryouts, please visit the WCCYSL website at http://www.wccysl.com/tryouts.htm
Regular practices will be held on TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS and FRIDAYS from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Pinole Valley West (big field by park).
In the case of rain on a practice day, please look for an email or text from Coach Mike or Marnie, regarding where practice will be held. We will usually try to move indoor at the YMCA when possible. Time may vary depending upon gym availability.
Great job, girls! We are proud of your second place finish in the Premier division of NorCal State Cup play. Our final game, Saturday 1/28, resulted in a 2-1 loss to El Dorado, a very strong and worthy opponent. After a preparation week with several players ill, bouncing back with a one point difference in the final game is an accomplishment. This game was videotaped. See Coach John, if you have not yet received your copy.
